Where to Eat in Chicago’s North Suburbs on Labor Day?
Visited the trendy spot Milkcow in Vernon Hills — got their matcha ice cream 🍵🍦 It's made by pouring hot matcha over the ice cream! Bitter matcha powder + sweet creamy ice cream = a great combo 😋 Under $6, totally worth it 💚 Then tried a Korean-run fancy corn dog place 🌭 My husband had the ramen-coated corn dog — his was plant-based (meat-free hot dog 🌱) Mine was the beef hot dog wrapped in breadcrumbs (pictured) I actually preferred the plant-based one — the beef one was a bit too greasy 😅 Lately, I’ve noticed many plant-based milks taste even better than regular milk 🥛 My husband is lactose intolerant, so he loves picking up all kinds of plant-based yogurts and dairy alternatives at Whole Foods 🛒 And surprisingly, I’m starting to like them more than real milk too! 🤯 #StudentEats #FoodAdventures #ChicagoLife #ChicagoFood #ChicagoFoodie #NorthSuburbs
