Devil’s Lake State Park – This is probably the closest thing to a mountain near Chicago! (And no, Starved Rock doesn’t count…😉) It’s best to stay overnight in Madison if you can, since it’s still a bit of a drive 🚗. Plan for at least half a day just for the hike.
