Wisconsin Dells: A Stunning Boat Tour Just 3 Hours from Chicago! đ¤â¨
Wisconsin Dells is seriously so much fun! This time, we skipped the water parks and mini-golf and just focused on the boat tourâand it was totally worth both the drive and the price! Located about 3+ hours from Chicago and just an hour from Madison, Wisconsin Dells is the perfect getaway. Simply navigate to Dells Boat Tourâparking is free, and tickets can be purchased on-site. I booked mine online (no time restrictions!), and it came to around $40 per person after tax, which is probably similar to the on-site price. The Upper Dells Tour includes two stops: Witches Gulch and Stand Rock. đż Witches Gulch (pic 2) is a short but magical trail that makes you feel like youâve stepped into a fairy tale. The air is filled with the scent of moss, sunlight, and fresh spring waterâI honestly wanted to bottle it up and take it home! đ Stand Rock is known for a dog performing a 50-foot jump (a little quirky but fun!). What really stood out was the fascinating story behind the Dells Boat Tour shared by our guide (pic 3). The tour is advertised as 2 hours, but ours lasted about 2.5 hours. Our captain and guide were a father-son duoâsuper dedicated and with three generations of experience on the Wisconsin River. The young guide is only 16 and already so professional! đ Tips collected go toward his college fundâhow sweet is that? Pro tip âĄ: Try to go earlier in the day to fully enjoy the river views. By afternoon, the water gets crowded with boats, and the trails become rushedâyou might miss the mystical vibe of Witches Gulch! Have you been to Wisconsin Dells? What was your favorite part?
