Friendly service, clean bakery, with an assortment of quiches, slices, cakes (including family sized slices and quiches to go) there are buns and sandwiches filled with delights as well on offer. Was a little pricey but proof as they say, is ā€˜in the pudding’. We bought 2 pies - steak, cheese and bacon and a steak and mushroom pie. Two sweets - passion fruit slice and a carrot and pineapple cake. Pies were meaty and tasty, pastry was ok. Carrot and pineapple cake was moist with small chunks of pineapple and walnut, topped with a generous amount of cream cheese icing. Not terribly impressed with passionfruit slice. A little bit expensive for what it was but, it was a tasty lunch so we were happy overall with bakery.

Local amb gran varietat d'opcions (pa, quiches, pies, cafè, pastissos, gelats...) i tot el que hem provat és deliciós! Molt recomanables les frittates i la moussaka. El tracte del personal podria ser més agradable.

The customer service I recieved today was far from service..... after ordering some ice creams and a share bun I told the young girl I'll just wait out the front but left my daughter instore to wait. We'll the kids recieved their ice creams all good except no spoons.... a young girl brings out half of my ice cream even then what she brought out looked like a child's scoop not $8.00 worth like I paid. I went inside to question where the rest of my order was and the quantity I was given for 1 ice cream compared to the rest..... 1 of the girls topped up mine however I'm still waiting for my bun and ice cream.... I was finally given my share bun the girl didn't even apologise little lone say 1 word to me shoved it into my hand basically.... it's not like I was getting the bun for free or anything I actually paid for it.... perhaps the owner needs to look at getting some older staff instead of school aged girls who don't care. I gave 2 stars only cause the ice cream tasted nice. I...

Whooohooo! I found a substitute for Mount Barker Bakery pies! It used to be a little place in Butler, but it closed. I picked up a beef and mushroom pie on a whim one early evening to bring home for dinner. It was HEAVY! Sadly, I was too excited to bite in that I forgot about taking photos. The first bite was savory and had a nice chunk of beef cooked to perfection. The pie wasn’t overly full of gravy, just right. I didn’t really notice any mushies but honestly, it didn’t matter, the beef stole the show. The pastry was flaky and on the thick side. I loved every bite! It’s a good thing we don’t live closer, my scale would tell on me, if we did!

Disclaimer: I’m American and grew up on fruit pies and our pot pies are way too runny to eat by hand. So, it’s not in my blood to love meat pies. However, I know when something is worthwhile and THIS is it!

I also bought a moussaka to take home. I imagine it will be amazing, I’ll let you know if I’m disappointed. I doubt there will...
