It is unfortunate the men in the green shirts who take payment for the sun loungers are out to rip you off.
Whilst we expected this to some degree coming to Ksamil, it still makes for a frustrating experience when you're on a holiday.
Our party was charged €10 per bed, whilst others on the beach, particularly those speaking Albanian or Italian were charged only €5 (for the same beds and same time of the day). We did confront them on the issue, however this was difficult over Google translate, and in the end we gave up.
That aside, the area itself has a lovely shallo swimming area, which drops off significantly mid way. This beach area is much quieter than the surrounding beach clubs which blast music all day (though be prepared to deal with noise still coming through from neighboring Bianco). Whilst we didn't have food here, food prices seemed very reasonable, and they offer pizza and an array of other food and drinks from their restaurant.
To those running the beach area, honesty and transparency goes a long way. Ksamil thrives on tourism, and stunts like this end up people ruining travellers experiences and contribute in creating a negative perception of the...
Read moreWe saw your photos and really liked them, so we woke up early and came. The sea is wonderful and so is the beach. We put our towels in the front row, but even though we opened the umbrella, the sun still came through, and since I can’t stay under the sun for long, I felt very uncomfortable. It wasn’t crowded yet, so we thought of opening an umbrella one row behind us to see if it would give us shade. After all, once someone sits there, they will open the umbrella anyway. We just wanted to check in advance if it would help with the shade.
However, one of the staff came and said if you open another umbrella, you have to pay, and he was extremely rude. I explained that the sun is coming through right now and we just wanted to see if it gives shade, and that soon someone will sit there and open it anyway. I also told him I have a health problem and can’t stay in the sun. But he insisted rudely, saying we must pay.
It’s really disappointing that such a beautiful beach has such a rude and inconsiderate employee who only sees people as money. We immediately took our towels and went to another beach. I will never come back again.
