Bosco Restaurant — Restaurant in Tirana Municipality

We were recommended Bosco by our hotel for a special occasion: my birthday dinner on our last night in Tirana. Naturally, I was looking forward to this meal. Upon reviewing the menu, my girlfriend and I found several dishes that caught our eye, so we decided to give it a try.

We started with the shrimp tacos, which were quite good. Our son ordered the spicy sausages and he absolutely loved them. We also had a few sides: mushrooms and grilled vegetables, both of which were well-prepared and flavorful. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making us feel comfortable throughout our meal. As a nice touch, they also brought us a complimentary Mediterranean salad.

When it came to the main course, I was in the mood for some quality meat. I debated between the Tomahawk steak and the Picanha, ultimately choosing the Picanha as the Tomahawk was a kilogram, which I knew would be too much for me. Having had ribeye many times before, I was looking forward to it.

However, the Picanha turned out to be extremely tough, like chewing cardboard. I called the waiter and explained the situation. He took the dish back to the kitchen to speak with the chef. To my surprise, the chef claimed there was nothing wrong with the meat. Both me waiter were confused and unsure of how to handle my complaint. Despite my attempts to explain that while the meat was cooked perfectly, it was excessively chewy and not up to standard, they insisted it was fine. Ultimately, I was left paying for a dish I couldn't enjoy, which soured my evening.

In my experience with over 20 years in the industry, a good manager listens to the customer and offers a suitable alternative, rather than making the customer feel as though he is lying. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Bosco , leaving me quite disappointed.

Overall, until the issue with the Picanha , our experience at Bosco was positive. The food, aside from the Picanha, was good, and the service was initially attentive and friendly. However, the handling of my complaint was poor, and for that reason, I won't be returning. I'm not suggesting others avoid Bosko, but be aware that their flexibility in addressing customer concerns...

We finally had the opportunity to check out Bosco Restaurant and from the minute you walk up to the restaurant, you are greeted with the best service you will ever have. They opened the door for us upon entry, we chose a beautiful table next to the wine rack. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the wine, the food, everything was delicious. And our waiter…. Wow was he amazing. Attention to every detail, from serving us our appetizer salad onto our plates, knowing exactly when to pour more wine, wonderful suggestions. I will be honest, I have eaten at a lot of restaurants and have never had service this good. The food was so fresh and flavourful. We had a 10/10...

One of a kind in Don Bosko area.

The neighbourhood has a lot of options where to eat, but this restaurant is a different and more classy choice.

I tried it occasionally one afternoon after work, thats why i ordered healthy options 🙂.

They were so nice to bring an appetiser with olives and seasoned butter. As a first plate i ordered chicken breast, that was served with a vegetable salad. Also my favourite french fries. Everything was good cooked and enough for one person.

Atmosphere is cozy and the staff very welcoming. I could see them smiling all the time to each other, that indicates a healthy workplace.

Price/quality ratio very good. Definitely...
