Albania has perhaps the best hospitality of any European country I have traveled to, and Jarna has the best hospitality of any restaurant we have experienced in Albania- the best of the best! This was our favorite meal in Albania! Spectacular rustic atmosphere with A/C indoors in an incredible traditional style or rustic grape vibe covered brick outdoor seating area, both spectacular! The food is simply the best, and I don’t say that lightly. Fresh ingredients cooked in the traditional way with patient and helpful staff that care about the experience first and foremost.

Key highlights are the traditional beef ribs (Beef in the Oven) which is cooked for hours until it falls off the bone and dripping with natural flavor. The meatballs were so good we ordered four servings. The potatoes are very well seasoned and the best we have had (crispy thick chip cut seasoned with olive oil and oregano). I would also highly recommend the traditional cheese platter which comes with a variety of fresh cheeses and sensational sweet nuts, oranges and melon that are pickled in sweet syrup (providing a great balance of salty and sweet). With that said, there was nothing on the menu that was not excellent!

We went out for dinner and were looking for a restaurant with local food. We entered the residential neighborhoods of the city and found this amazing restaurant. The entrance is very inviting, you immediately get into the atmosphere. The staff greets you with a smile and pleasantness. We decided to try a variety of dishes. Some of the dishes were very large and did not accommodate the fact that we were just a couple. Nevertheless, we did not leave a crumb. Everything is very tasty. The food is prepared on the spot and is fresh and properly seasoned. The food is prepared over coals and this adds to the good flavors. We enjoyed every dish and the dishes brought back memories of dishes from our childhood, still Balkan dishes that we know such as spinach pastry, rabania cake, vegetables seasoned with olive oil. It was impossible not to go and see the kitchen and the women who cook with all their heart. The prices, as is known in Albania, are affordable for every pocket. We will definitely come again on...
