First, the Google map location is incorrect. The restaurant is on the opposite side of the street from the pin. There is a sign at street level. For tourists, this is pretty much a smoky bar, Not a classy high end restaurant. My travel partner and I just wanted a drink. Algeria makes it difficult to get any alcohol. This place is run like a speakeasy with a bouncer at the door monitoring who gets in. There were many young people there. Lots of locals who knew each other. We felt very safe. I got a glass of Algerian white wine and my friend got a Heineken. The beer was 300 dzd and my wine was 800 dzd. Quite reasonable.
The biggest difficulty was the smoking. After one drink, we had to go. It was too much for us.
We didn't eat any food because we ate elsewhere first. I saw other people eating dinner. But most people were just having olives and cheese and drinking.
They have hard liquor as well for mixed drinks but don't expect anything artisnal. 😂
