Fantastic place!!!! We love this restaurant, we tried to go last year and arrived without reservation, and were unfortunately turned away as they were fully booked.... So this year we booked in advance (on a Tuesday) and had a great meal, Albiet short as the kids were tired after ski school....
So we returned on the Thursday and had a fantastic meal, the family that run the restaurant, and all the other staff, are so attentive, we really couldn't ask for any more, and the food is great too!!!
After this meal we said our goodbyes and promised to return next year, then as luck should have it, due to bad weather, Grandvalira gave us all an extra days ski pass, so we extended our trip and planned to dine once again on the Saturday night at Borda del Tremat.... Starting from the friendly staff, we had the constant feeling of being welcome and despite our own issues with the language, the waiters were always helpful, patient and forthcoming. The location, while a bit hidden, has a parking lot next to it and has a pretty view of the mountains.

We had 2 starters and main dishes (the stewed duck and the Andoran deer) and they were all exquisite, tasty and filling. All dishes were served quickly, were fresh and warm. The main dishes in particular had such good meat and were delicious. Also, the dessert was brilliant. In addition, the price was very cheap for the high quality of the food and in our next trip we will definitely come back.
Bottom line - highly...
Read moreThis is the best place I have eaten in years! The food is a work of art! The salad was decorated with the vinegarette so that the perfect ratio was achieved. The carpaccio was excellent a beatiful as well. For the mains we had the roasted veal in a mushroom sauce and my husband had trout. Again, both were served as works of art. The taste was extraordinary! The veal melted in my mouth! The mushroom sauce used several varieties of mushrooms and completented the veal perfectly. My husband kept moaning with pleasure as he ate his trout, so it must have been just as wonderful. Additionally, this is a restaurant that requires reservations, but they were super kind to squeeze us into the last possible table. We came before most others, so the staffkindly answered my hindred and one questions. This place is just...
