Really cool place. The milkshakes are not united states milkshakes (the origin of the milkshake and the theme of the diner). US Milkshakes are very thick and a completely different recipe. Go to vibean heladaria if you want it done correctly. Weird that they give you a big straw when it's not thick at all. Just tasted like chocolate milk. I'm sure they mix it with ice cream but like most argentinian restaurants, the milkshakes aren't milkshake and are made to fit argentinian tastes. Disappointing.
Other than that, great pancakes.Good brownie ice cream. We had a coke float which I was not expecting to be on the menu.
The staff are great. Good waitresses. We felt bad for them because it was pretty cold but they still dress in very light clothing because of the theme.
The coffee was very good. Which we were hoping the coffee was bad because in American diners the coffee is supposed to be awful. It is customary/tradition to complain about how bad the coffee is. But it was really good and only 4500 peso.
The place is very affordable.
I rate the food 3 stars because of the milkshake. You guys have got to...
Read moreI appreciated the attempt to be a US diner but to be truly authentic it needs to make the following changes: Pancakes and waffles should have an option to include syrup! Why is there honey and dolce de leche as options but no syrup? It doesn’t make any sense. It is impossible to find a diner in the US that doesn’t offer syrup / maple syrup with its pancakes and waffles. I don’t understand how they could call themselves an American diner and not offer syrup. Also the pancakes should have an option to come with blueberries and strawberries with blueberries cooked in the pancakes. The milkshake should have an option of chocolate and vanilla instead of just vanilla. That’s what a black and white milkshake is and it’s at every diner in the US. Seriously this is basic stuff. Have chocolate ice cream as an option to be mixed with vanilla.
Otherwise it was good, the fries were good. At least they had ketchup and salt...
Read moreThe location is a little out-there, but it's definitely worth the trip. The food orders are pretty sizable and the options are difficult to choose because everything looks so good. The fries and eggs taste like they're fried in a lot of butter, which makes them that much more delicious. The pancakes and waffles are really fluffy, too. Whilst here, I think I ate the most food I've ever eaten in one sitting. The waiting staff was pleasant, helpful, and attentive, which was good for a first-timer like me. The building and atmosphere is the best part, though. They imitate the American 50's diner so well that I felt like I was back home in the States. I'll definitely...
