I had high hopes for this place based on the ratings, but if you're on the fence based on the disparity of one star vs five star reviews, the one stars are accurate.
The food is atrocious honestly. I was so disappointed, and even just average would have been okay, but it was ass. The teriyaki chicken was dry unlike anything I've ever eaten. It turned into powder in your mouth like it was freeze dried or something. All the rolls tasted the same and the ingredients weren't fresh...we also got the wrong rolls compared to the menu and the bill. The menu shows steamed gyoza and they're basically small fried empanadas.
Their solution to saying the chicken was inedibly dry was to drown it in more sauce. Goes to show where their priorities lie. With the quality of sushi I've had in other places in Argentina and the quality of ingredients available in this country the food is a massive injustice to the country.
Service was good and was patient with us during the language barrier, but considering we sent back over half the food only for the second try to be even worse than before I kind of felt like they should have just charged us for the drinks and left us on our way. I had to ask for the teriyaki chicken to be taken off the bill even though we sent it back twice. Not a ton of accountability there for serving inedible food.
Skip this place. There are excellent restaurants in the area worth your money, this is not one of them. We had mid level expectations and even those were far too high. You can make better food at home with almost no experience and this was one of the most expensive restaurants I ate...
Read moreI dined here tonight while in Mendoza for my best friend’s birthday. We were excited for a night of sushi! We walked in at around 7:30pm and the entire restaurant was empty. It took 20 min for them to take our order and 20 more minutes to bring us our water. We also ordered a pisco sour and it was not up to standard. For our entree we ordered spicy ceviche and a side of a Philadelphia roll. Unfortunately, the ceviche was fishy tasting and had shells in it. This created an off putting dining experience. We kept trying to get the server’s attention but they were unresponsive. It took a long time to get the check. Overall I would not recommend eating here. Save yourself and go...
Read moreWould not recommend. We ordered the classic combinado: however, apart from the nigiri, all of the sushi were basically the same and the worst part is that they put cream cheese in their sushi rolls which is overpowering everything else and very non-Japanese. The ginger - which is supposed to be used as neutralizer for your tastebuds - was also a bit of a fail as it was way too sweet. So, nop, skip this sushi place if you like...
