Wara Cocina de Origen — Restaurant in Mar del Plata

I came here for the first time at the end of 2023, and I remember enjoying it. However, this recent visit left me feeling much less satisfied. The prices have increased, and the quality seems to have gone down. For dinner I ordered a limonada and the ensalada Artemisa. The limonada was good, but the salad left a lot to be desired. There wasn't much tofu, and the tofu I did get was very salty. There were some greens, tomatoes, and walnuts on the side, but it was mostly plain rice noodles. They gave me olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt to dress everything. It was okay, but how that is worth $17,500 is beyond me. Also, from the photos I took in 2023. They gave everyone some bread and mayo de zanahoria previously. I didn't get any, nor did I see anyone get any this time around. To go I took an alfajor and a portion of budin de zanahoria. The alfajor was not as described on the packaging. The mousse de chocolate was actually a ganache, and the mani on the outside wasn't crunchy anymore. The budin was just okay. It was moist but lacked the spices that usually accompany a carrot...

This place has the best grilled vegetables I’ve ever had! With a nice eggplant lasagna and a delicious vegan brownie topped off with incredible vegan icecream this place is a slice of heaven! Some bean dip appetizer thing with tasty bread was really nice too. Friendly staff and a nice look and feel to it, this place is the kind of place that turns meat eaters into plant eaters just cause their food is that good. Siempre cuando escribo una reseña trato de ser sincero sin perjudicar. Tal vez en algún momento leen y sirve para crecer o ayudar a elegir. Wara es un hermoso lugar con todo el potencial pero con esos errores que dejan esa primera mala impresión. a mi me molesta que el que te orienta no sepa que hay para comer, tal vez fue un gran día de trabajo y estaban agotados pero deberían saber los platos. Con respecto a la atención esta el modernismo que suele ser simpático pero pierde la escencia cuando vas a comer, ese tono de amistad y canchero como si nos conociéramos puede también estar acompañado de respeto hacia quien va a consumir, ese que le da altura al negocio, puede ser que suene "oldie" (retro, viejo) pero un nunca queda mal. La comida es sumamente rica, bien condimentada, tamaño perfecto y totalmente recomendable. Lastima que me la dieron en una caja reciclada, no de material reciclado, usada! no estamos justo en el mejor momento para hacerlo, no es eco-friendly que me den en una caja tachada de zanahorias, mis dos hamburguesas. Para quienes integran y crearon Wara mi respeto por hacer crecer el mundo de la oferta vegana. Pero en mi punto de vista hay que estar atentos, si bien hoy en día son pocos los lugares donde podemos elegir hay una gran diferencia entre: "ser los únicos para elegir" y "ser especialmente únicos!" No soy vegano pero me encantaría que mi próxima experiencia en vuestro local sea distinta que sigan creciendo y ofreciendo tan rico...
