Phone required. We ordered a tritip to share. It was good and more food than we needed. We were told not to bring our phones anywhere as they get stolen. We found Mendoza safe, but were there when the president visited, so there was more security. Anyway, this restaurant requires that you scan a QR code for the wine menu. Because we did not bring our phones, we had to ask the prices on a few bottles. The man behind the wine counter was put out by having to look it up, and quoted us the equivalent of $50 USD for each bottle suggested to us all small local producers. We ordered by the glass and it was very good. Even bottles suggested by the sommelier at Cabrera were not this high, so I can only assume he was punishing us for making him look it up. I can recommend La Cabrera. The sommelier there will steer you in the right direction for a reasonable price or within what you want to spend. Our waitress at Cache was very good. She spoke very good English, which I don’t expect, but when discussing the wines we did not get to buy, it was helpful. I found the menu small compared to other...
Read moreI read about this place on TripAdvisor and decided it would be a nice experience to go here. Arrived early in the evening for dinner and had cheese tasting as starter. I really enjoyed the selection of cheeses and was perfect to start off the evening.
The main dish was ojo de bife with ensalada. Truly amazing together with 2024 Malbec. Cooked medium rare as I asked and the salad was simple but complimentary.
As desert I had a mouse made out of merengue together with dulce de leche. This form is from Peru and I really enjoyed the mouse together with the dulce.
The service was really nice and was able to give some recommendations. The atmosphere was impecable with a jazz band playing. They truly made the night feel completed.

Read moreWe had been in Mendoza only two hours when we came across Caché Bistro and are so happy to have found it so early in our trip. The food and service were amazing, we had Karen as our server and she was so kind and attentive throughout. For food I had the vegan mix tapas which came with bread and was a delicious mix of peppers, aubergine and a bulgur wheat salad. The bread that came with the tapas was served warm and fresh. Then when it came time to choose a wine (they don't have a wine menu because of the sheer amount of bottles), they do their best to give you a wine closest to what you like or are looking for. They really know their stuff here and we'll definitely be back before our time on...
