SANCHO RESTAURANTE — Restaurant in Mendoza

Overrated. I'm a foreigner living in Argentina and this is a fair review of my experience. The biggest disappointment was the parillada (approx 18 usd), which came overcooked and dry. Matambre de cerdo was dead on arrival. I've eaten my share of parilladas and this one was one of the worst. Chimi and criolla that always come by default had to be asked for. That's minus 1 star all in all. Ensalada mixta was good, same as usual. But the biggest disappointment came from the fact that the bottle of wine I ordered (10 500 ars or approx 10 usd) was reflected as 16 500 ars in the bill. I had to ask to fix it. This certainly leaves an aftertaste. Obviously, waiters point out to you that their tip is not included. However, the service was pretty good, I don't want to look too picky here. Venis a Mendoza, muchos restaurantes recomendados por la famosa guia, pero resulta que al que queres venir mil veces se llama Sancho, un lugar fabuloso, con clientes que vienen a diario, mozos y mozas de oficio, comida elaborada por gente que sabe con productos de gran calidad, ambiente muy agradable, tu casa casi, esos restaurantes tradicionales que evolucionan, porque como ya dije en otros ambitos, no es que lo viejo funciona, funciona lo que evoluciona respetando sus origenes y aca hay una super confirmacion de esa idea, los clientes entran felices, se saludan con los mozos, hablan mientras comen, toman tinto a lo lindo, hay risas, hay complicidad, hay muy buen morfi, hay magia, esa que tienen solo algunos pocos restaurantes, esa que da placer. @restaurantesancho mil estrellas tiene, vengan si estan por Mendoza, clientes les sobran, pero les aseguro los recibiran con gran calidez y la mejor comida que vas a encontrar en la ciudad.
