James Beer cerveceria — Restaurant in Municipio de Puerto Madryn

I visited the place one night and had dinner there. I took vegetables with shrimps. Left a tip and couse I liked the food i returned the next evening but it was a mistake. On the menu there is a choice if you pay cash you can have a main dish with drink and the dessert for 5500 ars. I looked the menu and i saw that if i order the dish and the drink i pay as much so i decided to take the offer. The rice with squid - it was awful, no taste, could not eat it all, do not recommend. On the menu, which was in spanish, there was written "una copa de vino" i got water - ok. When we finished eating we asked for the check and then we waited a bit. We got tired of waiting and i asked the waiter "do i have to pay 2000 ars for a small water?" because the rice was 3800 ars and nobody served me no dessert. He got angry and asked witch ice cream do i want. I didn't understand the flavors in spanish so he brought the ice creams and threw them on the table so that i could choose. Surely never gonna...

Menu ejecutivo is very disappointing. First, even though the board said it included a can of beer, waitress said it didn't. Next, portion sizes are very small, roughly a third of the non ejecutivo dishes that were brought to other tables. I know you're not going to get something as gourmet on a set menu, but it shouldn't be a significant downgrade either. Dessert was pretty bland too, just a block of store-bought ice cream even though the menu says "postres" which would make you think you've got a few options.

As well as all this, a waitress came to me after main course with the bill and when I told her I hadn't had dessert yet, she started getting angry at me. Yep, for a mistake she had made.

Me gustó, lo recomiendo, volvería. Comí muy bien, buena atención y precios razonables (turísticos). Comí un lunes a la noche, un bife con huevo, panceta y morrón acompañado con papas, muy rico, demoró un poco en llegar (de todas formas es entendible porque no es minuta) y vino acompañado con fritas, todo lo acompañé con una pinta de scotch. Muy rico todo, demasiado abundante (no como mucho y menos a la noche y con cerveza pero casi no toqué las papas, no terminé ni la carne ni la cerveza, era EXCESIVO si no son de buen comer, aconsejo pedir otra cosa que el bife). Solo para mencionar que las papas tenían cierto gusto a pescado probablemente por la freidora. La cerveza muy rica, suelo tomar de ese tipo y tenía buen amargor y era algo robusta. La atención muy bien, rápida, atenta, amable y prolija. En cuanto a precios como menciono, turísiticos no sé si son caros (los comparo viviendo en Tigre) en la zona pero me parecieron elevados respecto de Buenos Aires (por el plato más la bebida 1200 a esta fecha sin cobrar cubierto). Entiendo que tiene que ver con lo turístico insisto. El lugar amplio, buena cantidad de mesas, no vi si tiene para consumir afuera, el ambiente dejaba conversar. Un...
