Ottilia — Restaurant in Municipio de Villa General Belgrano

I have mixed feelings about this place. It’s a perfect spot for a family dinner since it has a nice outside area for the kids.

The food is not that great though. Which is strange since this place present it self as a go to meat asado place but the reality is that the meat is after not that tasty and not done as requested. I asked for a medium well fillet and it came overcooked.

It can get very crowded and they do not accept reservations as most of the places in villa general belgrano.

The staff is friendly but the owner never smiles and can be rude. I’m sure he do not intend to be rude but the way he speaks to you is quite rude for my standards.

The mash potatos were not fresh made but the once you buy in powder. You would expect a fresh mesh potato’s in a place like this. The prices are ok, maybe little bit higher that other similar places.

Una esquina tan emblemática, no podía quedar vacía. Cuando el restaurante anterior cerro sus puertas, sentí mucha tristeza. Fue una alegría inmensa enterarme de que Ottilia había tomado el mando de este pintoresco restaurante 😃

Ediliciamente, el local reúne todos los guiños típicos de las construcciones germanas: techos de tejas, paredes revestidas en madera y cientos de canteros con flores adornando sus ventanas. El amplio salón principal cuenta con muchísimas mesas y boxes para acoger a un gran número de comensales, pero además, hay un inmenso parque y un deck, para sentarse al aire libre. Para que los niños se entretengan mientras esperan la comida, hay juegos de plaza y mucho espacio para jugar y correr.

En cuanto al menú, se destacan las especialidades alemanas, como las tradicionales salchichas con chucrut. Pero mi plato favorito es sin dudas la fondue de queso 😋 Una delicia !

Las cervezas, de elaboración propia, son excelentes. Recomiendo la IPA, si preferís un sabor ligeramente amargo, o la Negra, si buscás notas más amables al paladar.

La relación calidad -precio es excelente. La atención es impecable. No hay demoras en el servicio. Cuenta con estacionamiento propio. Si llegas temprano, no es necesario reservar con anticipación. Además, al haber tantas mesas, es raro que no haya lugar.

Definitivamente, Ottila Sur es uno de los lugares más lindos para comer en Villa Gral Belgrano.

Te recomiendo visitarlo a la hora de almuerzo para disfrutar a pleno de su entorno natural.
