Viejo Munich — Restaurant in Municipio de Villa General Belgrano

I wouldn’t have thought to be this delighted! I’m coming from Germany and entered the Viejo Munich just to fill my tummy, without any expectation, except the thought “well another restaurant that tries to imitate something that doesn’t exist anymore in Germany” (there, the traditions don’t get the attention like here which I find a pity). I was the only guest because it was 4pm - another plus: you can eat whenever you want! I was immediately getting in the mood for bratwurst and sauerkraut (which I hadn’t had for ages in Germany) through the traditional Bavarian music - not too loud or intrusive - and all the wooden decoration and souvenirs as decoration. Looking at the menu I couldn’t decide because there were so many authentic dishes, also Schwarzbrot (black bread) with Leberwurst (spreadable liver sausage). I enjoyed my meal called “Salchicha Berna” (in german „Berner Würstchen“) and especially the beer! Afterwards I got told by the nice waitress that they produce their own sausages and beer. I don’t exaggerate but this beer was the best I had for a long time. Such a Great, slightly fruity but not too fruity like in an ipa taste. You can buy their products in their boutique too. ¡Un pedacito de Alemania en Villa General Belgrano Visité El Viejo Munich y salí completamente enamorado. ¿Destino turístico o portal mágico a Baviera? No lo sé, pero quiero volver ya. El lugar es una belleza: madera, tradición, buena onda y ese olorcito a comida casera que te atrapa desde la vereda. Te sentás y empieza la fiesta. Probé la Grand Carré Garnie y fue como si una orquesta alemana tocara en mi boca: sabrosa, abundante, y con ese sabor que te hace cerrar los ojos de puro placer. La atención fue impecable, como si ya me conocieran de toda la vida. Y la cerveza… bueno, la cerveza es otro capítulo aparte, si vas a Villa General Belgrano y no pasás por El Viejo Munich, estás haciendo el viaje mal. ¡Gracias Viejo Munich! Nos vemos pronto. A little piece of Germany in Villa General Belgrano I visited El Viejo Munich and left completely in love. Tourist destination or magical gateway to Bavaria? I don't know, but I want to go back now. The place is beautiful: wood, tradition, good vibes, and that scent of homemade food that catches you from the sidewalk. You sit down and the party begins. I tried the Grand Carré Garnie and it was like a German orchestra playing in my mouth: tasty, abundant, and with that flavor that makes you close your eyes in pure pleasure. The service was impeccable, as if they'd known me my whole life. And the beer... well, beer is a different story. Un pezzetto di Germania a Villa General Belgrano Ho visitato El Viejo Munich e me ne sono andata completamente innamorata. Meta turistica o magica porta d'accesso alla Baviera? Non lo so, ma voglio tornarci ora. Il posto è bellissimo: legno, tradizione, buone vibrazioni e quel profumo di cibo fatto in casa che ti cattura dal marciapiede. Ti siedi e la festa inizia. Ho provato il Grand Carré Garnie ed è stato come un'orchestra tedesca che suonava in bocca: gustoso, abbondante e con quel sapore che ti fa chiudere gli occhi per il puro piacere. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, come se mi conoscessero da una vita. E la birra... beh, la birra è tutta un'altra storia. Se vai a Villa General Belgrano e non ti fermi a El Viejo Munich, stai sbagliando strada. Grazie, Viejo Munich! A presto. Congratulazioni.

Ein Stück Deutschland in Villa General Belgrano Ich habe El Viejo Munich besucht und war total verliebt. Touristenziel oder magisches Tor nach Bayern? Ich weiß es nicht, aber ich möchte jetzt unbedingt wieder hin. Der Ort ist wunderschön: Holz, Tradition, gute Stimmung und der Duft von hausgemachtem Essen, der einem schon vom Bürgersteig entgegenweht. Man setzt sich hin und die Party beginnt. Ich habe das Grand Carré Garnie probiert und es war wie ein deutsches Orchester, das in meinem Mund spielt: lecker, üppig und mit diesem Geschmack, der einen vor lauter Freude die Augen schließen lässt. Der Service war tadellos, als ob sie mich schon mein ganzes Leben lang kennen würden. Und das Bier … nun ja, Bier ist eine andere Geschichte. Mala atención!. Soy de mar del plata, vine hace unos años a Villa gral. Belgrano y lleve regalos del viejo Munich a mi familia. Lo primero que hice al volver, fue ir a buscar este local para volver a llevarme todo. Nos vieron entrar, nos dijeron dónde era el "almacén" y nada tenía precios. El personal, charlando en la barra como si no estuviesemos.. me acerque a pedir una lista de precios y una señorita me dijo que ya nos atenderían. Vino otra chica de las que estaban en la barra al rato (todos seguían en la barra charlando) y nos preguntó que queríamos llevar. Le pedimos precio de todo en general, ya que como íbamos a hacer varios regalos, queríamos comprar de todo. No nos quiso decir precios en general, insistió en que preguntemos solo lo que íbamos a llevar, nos dió dos precios como referencia y se fue. Al rato viene un señor que estaba en la barra y nos vio desde el primer momento, a preguntarnos nuevamente que íbamos a llevar. Le volvimos a pedir precio de todo y nos empezó a responder irónicamente (chicaneandonos) que si queríamos precio debíamos llevar todo lo que íbamos a comprar al mostrador y que allí nos darían precios de las cosas. Empezó a decirnos que ellos no sabían los precios, que si queríamos saber sobre los mismos, debíamos llevar todo al mostrador (nunca dejo su prepotencia de lado, tampoco sabíamos porque la chica lo llamo a él para que nos vendiera, si ya lo estaba haciendo ella). Obvio nos fuimos y compramos enfrente que hay más variedad de chops y te atienden con ganas!. Una lastima la decadencia de este lugar y de los empleados que de seguro no les interesa mantener su...
