No se pierdan la experiencia de comer en este lugar. Sepan que van a probar cocina de autor. Así que desde ya, mis felicitaciones al chef. Cuando entramos parecía no haber lugar porque no habíamos reservado. Estaba lleno. Recomiendo reservar antes. Sin embargo una de las meseras, Anahí, nos hizo un espacio y nos atendió de maravilla. Super simpática, amable y con mucha buena energía. Para comer pedimos de entrada una provoleta (una alcanza para dos) que estaba riquísima. Como plato fuerte, yo pedí un lomo del tiempo que fue una explosión de sabores. Viene relleno con queso de cabra y acompañado con un puré especiado, panceta, rúcula y tomates cherris (estos ultimos dos le dieron un toque dulce -creo que tenían miel-que quedaba espectacular). También unos sorrentinos riquísimos. De postre una copa melba y un flan casero. Sin palabras lo genial que estaban. El ambiente está bárbaro, decorado con maravillas para los amantes de lo antiguo. Fuimos nuestra última noche en Salta y fue el broche de oro de las vacaciones. Si vuelvo, no va a faltar de nuevo la visita a este lugar.

Acudí fortuitamente por reseñas erróneas/antiguas de otras personas, en búsqueda de comer algo que no sirven más, sin embargo me terminé quedando por el lugar, es peculiar, distinto y cómodo, sumamente tranquilo entre tanta peña alrededor. El café cuenta con una ambientación única, es más propia de un pub inglés de antaño que de lo típicamente Salteño alrededor, está muy bien logrado y la música que eligen acompaña a esto. -Con respecto a la comida, me encantó, fue muy rica la humita que pedí, sinceramente debí haber pedido una más, muy recomendable. -Destaco la amabilidad del mozo que me atendió, siempre buscando alguna solución a las faltantes de lo que pedía. La demora en esperar la comida fue larga y a que me cobren también, abonar con tarjeta de crédito conlleva un recargo (lo cual está advertido en la entrada) de igual manera es una práctica habitual en todo el norte y no del local. Hermoso lugar, me gustaría volver, fui un martes y no hubo show, supongo que esto se da durante el fin de semana.

This place tries to be upscale and fails. They don't accept credit cards! The food was OK, but not worth the price. The waitress was cold and unwelcoming. They charge an additional "cutlery charge" per person! And again, how does a place that tries to be upscale and charges high prices not accept credit cards!?

The Café del Tiempo offers very good meals for a reasonable price. We had a sandwich and a Lomo Miraluna, which was excellent. For desert I really can recommend the Dacoise, which is some kind of ice cream lemon cake with fruits. The restaurant had no live music so that we could still have a conversation without losing your voice. The only negative point was that we had to wait quite long to order and to pay as the number of waiters was too small. Still I can totally...

AVOID!! 40% additional fee added to bill for live music which was awful. Adviced them we were only interested in a drink and weren't happy to pay the additional charge, they called the police in who forced us to pay or be arrested. The barman behaved like a child, I'm embarrassed for both Salta and Argentina. Hate to use the word corruption, but that's what springs to mind after visiting this place. Perhaps advice clients of this charge prior to completing...

We've been able to dine and enjoy the entertainment at Cafe del Tiempo several times now. There are some other good choices in Salta but we like this one best.

While the wine list isn't a mile long it includes some of our favorite wineries from the Salta Province and beyond. The food has alway been excellent and it's a treat to be there when the entertainment takes...
