Coffee convent — Restaurant in Salta

Great tables here outside to choose from. It‘s a very busy café on the weekend and morning hours. It was crowded that‘s why we waited for everything pretty long. 20 mins until we could order, 30 mins more until we had the coffee and 10 mins more until we had the breakfast. But I guess when it‘s busy like that it is hard to prevent waiting times. Half of the staff was pretty unfriendly. It didn‘t feel comfortable. We were about to leave when the breakfast arrived which saved our experience. The american breakfast was great! I liked it. Also the ham&cheese empanadas were amazing! They were one of the best queso and ham that I ate in argentina. Coffee was also ok. All in all the food was great for the price we payed (12.000 Pesos in total). That‘s why it‘s still 3 stars. 1 star less for service and one less for the long waiting time without any...

We were told we could order any dessert with the menu del dia so we picked the fruit salad, but this is not true. You only have two options so we cancelled the fruit salad, and got a different dessert that was not good. Shame as it looks like they serve nice cakes. The waitress was very nice but we could not get her attention as we were sat outside and she was too busy. We waited over an hour between the main course and dessert. We loved this place! They prepare a special sandwich for my son: sandwich de miga with ham and boiled egg We asked to share a salad and they brought it already split in two bowls. The fresh mint lemonade was amazing. You can opt to sit outside, inside or in their covered outdoor patio. We sat there and turn on a fan as it was hot.
