We purchased breakfast and several drinks (coffee and juice) and decided to have some dessert. In their menu there wasn’t anything we liked, so we decided while waiting for our breakfast to arrive, to purchase a dessert in the place right in front. While having the first bite, we were rudely confronted by Claudia the waitress, saying we weren’t allowed to have even one bite because it wasn’t purchased at the establishment and that was the rules place by management. We nicely explained that we understood if we hadn’t purchased in the restaurante but we literally order three things in the menu. I think what happened here was a lack of judgment. We have been blessed to be able to travel the world and not once such an uncomfortable had occurred. To bad, specially for a little town like Ushuaia to treat their tourists this way.

Many reviews mention there are vegan options but actually there are not any. The waiters said nothing here is vegan and them I asked if we can make the veggie burger vegan by removing the cheese. She said it's possible and actually was tasty but just suspected it's not totally plant based, afterwards i asked a different waiters and she told me the burger bun contains butter and i think also the caramelized onions on top also. Anyway it's very disappointing to disrespect clients sensitivity and food dietary restrictions. Please make more effort for the next times to make it as clear as possible.

Good and nourishing food great for before or after trekking: breakfasts, lunches, sandiwches, desserts. The only suggestion I would make is that the staff should be more attending and nice (some people felt a bit arogant and forgetful - eg forgetting about cutlery - or having chats and laughing while we have asked to order a couple of times and were super hungry after the trek). I also feel Like English should be obligatory for waiters in such a touristic place.

Food was great, however, they need to teach their servers how to work. It takes them forever to take your order, they keep forgetting and asking, sometimes even 4 different waiters asked what we were having. It almost feels as if nobody knew what they were doing. Food and atmosphere, great, service quality, needs lots of improvement. A bit expensive if you consider how poor they serve. Would recommend, but with these caveats in mind.

I had a great dinner experience at El Mercado! The atmosphere was lively and inviting, making it a perfect spot for an enjoyable evening. The menu offered a good variety of foods, from pizzas and burgers to more elaborate dishes like fish and osobuco. Everything we tried was delicious, and the range of options ensures there’s something for every taste. Overall, El Mercado provides both quality food and a fantastic dining environment.

Si pudiera poner 0 estrellas lo pondría nefastos me quedé sin comer fui con mi familia somos 5 yo pedí trucha y los demás pastas traen los platos de las pastas y entre 15 a 20 minutos después que pido sal que no había en la mesa y una panera más de pan pregunto por mi trucha y recién en ese momento por que yo pregunté me dijeron que trucha no había más a lo que la mosa que me atendió me dice a mí como si dura mi culpa y ud no le dijo a los mosos que trajeron los platos por qué si yo lo hubiera traído me daba cuenta lo cual indica que en la cocina no avisaron que eso no había más un desastre pido por un encargado del restaurante y viene Camila a pedirme mil disculpas y que eso no pasó nunca pero no creo que sea verdad muy desorganizado todo mí familia comió y creo que bien pero con el disgusto que yo no comí nada realmente sé que esto a los dueños del restaurante le va a importar muy poco por qué ellos al ser un lugar de turismo siempre se renuevan la gente pero yo no voy a ninguno de sus negocios que son este restaurante tante Sara y Jeremi button y augusto no quiero probar suerte realmente me causa mucha tristeza haber pasado por esta situación esto pasó hace media hora que escribió esta reseña me hicieron un descuento eso lo remarcó pero creo que no es suficiente si me fui sin comer
