The worst experience ever. It used to be our favourite place, but we will no longer be back there!! Extremely rude service , with soooo much attitude, why on earth your workers will treat clients like idiots??. Why your workers are so rude to your clients?? Ordered icecream foe my toddler as well as our other meals, we waited for 15 min for his icecream, eventhough I have asked to organise it straight away while I am paying foe our meal. But I guess $97 of ordered dishes is not good enough to be served properly. They were to busy to get more money from next costumers in line instead of sparing just an extra min and giving us the 1 scoop of icecream foe a 3 years old! How much do we need to spend in your overpriced Cafe qith undercooked meals so you would treat your clients respectfully???? Ordered small pizza for my toddler with less sauce got it with less cheese and full of sauce. Week after week you treat your clients purely like wallets !!! Are you doing that bad?.? Or that good that you could afford loosing at once 10 people as non of us or our friends will not be going back. Disgusting, disgraceful experience, horrible service, badly cooked meals....

I dined at this Cafe on the morning of Tuesday, 19 March 2024 and ordered the vegetarian big breakfast. The young guy that served me was great, substituting meat items for veggie (as there is no vegetarian big breakfast listed on the menu, so I had to ask if it was possible). The wait on my meal was reasonable and there were ample staff around to bring it to my table, but the meal was lukewarm when it arrived. Pretty disappointing for a $25.00 plate of eggs, veggies and bread. The kitchen staff were working their butts off, but were let down by the girls tasked with taking the food out; they were too busy gossiping at the coffee machine than doing what they are paid to. I asked for the bread to be lightly toasted and what I received was bread, not toast that was BARELY toasted, it still had the texture of bread. The eggs, I asked to be cooked over easy (the pic shows they were over medium). Overall, between the average food and delayed service, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The second photo (with the frappe in the background) is a vegetarian big breakfast I had in Melbourne a few days later, at the same price - take...

I frequently visit Balthazar cafe, and I have to say I am always impressed! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The coffees are delicious and the food is amazing no matter what you order. The menu offers a wide variety of options for all tastes, and you can clearly tell they use great quality ingredients.

A new addition to their Breakfast menu is the Enoki Eggs. I was so delightfully surprised, the taste and texture of the tempura mushrooms was so so good. It's a very unique and delicious choice for breakfast and I honestly hope it sticks around.

Overall, I always have an enjoyable experience at Balthazar cafe. I highly recommend visiting this cafe to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and atmosphere. This is definitely a five-star cafe, and I will be sure to...

Balthazar is a fairly traditional Italian cafe. Open long hours and public holidays with plenty of parking since it’s in a shopping centre. It has had some structural upgrades due in part to the expansion of the Foodland next door and the outdoor area is bigger and better. My gripe is they allow smoking which is revolting when you’re eating. Actually any time. The food isn’t terribly imaginative but it’s better than the very traditional places that are still left nearby (Buongiorno at Mitcham, La Scala at Unley etc). The food and coffee are tasty enough and the kitchen lump out the food quick smart. The acoustics aren’t great as the ceilings are high and I rarely linger unless I can get a table outside when it’s a bit quieter.
