My partner ordered us food this evening from this Mcdonalds, it was delivered fastly but that was the only positive. We started eating our food, and I got to my wrap last. As eating and chewing, halfway through the wrap I crunched on something, thinking it was a edge of a sauce packet or something, which happens fairly regularly in fast food, I went to pick it out and continue. But, it was pokier than I'd expected and startled I snatched it out and recoiled when it was a bug, cooked and crunchy now missing a sepment of a side of its body and legs. I immediately spat the rest of my mouthful out, and ran to the bathroom to throw up. I felt filthy and violated, with phantom buglegs in my mouth despite vomiting, brushing and gargling several times. Having showered and scrubbed the inside of my mouth, we got in the car and drove to the mcdonalds that made the order. Pasadena. When we got there we requested to talk to a manager about the fact there was a cooked bug in our food, having brought the wrap and the three quarters of the bug that remained with us. The manager on shift, I think Raphel or Randy?, shifted the blame to the manager that was before, Andreas. "You want another one?" Of course I didnt want another one thehygiene practicess were hardly trustworthy. "Do you want a refund I guess?" I responded to that asking if that's the best he could do, no apology or promise to make sure there was no opportunity for the option of a cooked bug to end up in someone else's food. "I guess I'll get on that, do you want the refund"Again no apology. We accepted the refund seeing as he couldn't offer even the decency of apologising. When he spun the machine to refund it was just the total of the wrap. I refused saying the was a literal dead bug in my mouth he can refund the entire order "Was there anything wrong with the rest of the food?" "Does that matter? There was a dead bug in the food that ended up in my mouth that came from your business" he handed it back with the total order mouth after a heavy sigh and rolling his eyes. I asked the name of the manager that he'd blamed, to which he told me as above. "He didn't intentionally give you food with a bug" I'm sure he didn't put it there but it's a part of his job to make sure his staff are trained, observant and obey hygiene standards, doing regular checks himself. All of which he has not done. And I would not be surprised if you don't either from that response. Aside from a genuine apology I expect some kind of recompense for not only the dead vermin in my food and MOUTH; but your employees' lack of concern or apology and below...
Read moreWent twice in 2 days and both times they screwed up the order and ripped me off. I understand they have just opened and most staff are still in training, however it shouldnt be hard to at least check the meal before you give it out. Yesterday a friend and i ordered a medium cheeseburger meal with a coffee frappe for the drink, and I ordered a double sausage mcmuffin meal with a lactose free vanilla latte. Ordering the food was easy, however when getting the food. They had to ask us again what drink was ordered with the cheeseburger meal twice. Then only gave me a single sausage mcmuffin meal after telling then a few times i had ordered a double. Today i ordered the same double sausage mc muffin meal and coffee for myself, and firstly the service at the ordering window was terrible. The girl kept saying "wait what?" And not understanding the simple request several times. She charged me for a double egg and sausage mcmuffin meal, even tho id asked just for the sausage. Then had to make me repeat my coffee order 3 times before still getting it wrong. The pickup windows were better with general politness, however when i took the food and clarified with the girl that it was infact a double sausage muffin meal. She agreed and said yes, only for me to open it and see that its a single sausage muffin. And my coffee was a regular latte. Not lactose free. Not vanilla.
Very disappointed and frankly a little shocked at how dumb they seemed.
Generally im not the type to complain, especially since it is just fast food. And being that im also a hospo worker, i understand that it can be hard to keep up sometimes with orders. But come on now.
Won't be coming back for...
Read moreCame through drive-thru with an ASD child mid-meltdown. I was de-escalating, setting boundaries as he had already had kfc — until your staff member on the mic started egging it on, talking over me with a smug tone, making it impossible to regulate my own son.
I clearly ordered a large Fanta with my meal and because the employee sarcastically asked are you getting the drink also?, “the separate frozen Coke for my son” so I said yes and told my son not to push things when he thing . Then At the window? No Fanta. Just the frozen Coke. Then I’m told “Oh, I thought you changed it.” You thought? Why ask if I still wanted a drink — if you’d replaced it?
When I pointed it out, I was told to drive back around and pay again — for the drink that came with the meal I already full price for, I then received a cheap frozen coke, This wasn’t a mistake. It was deliberate , dismissive, and hostile. He didn’t allow me to pay for the fanta and told me my only option was to drive around again and wait in line paying full price not the combo price I’d planned on,
This worker escalated a vulnerable situation and took the power to regulate mummy child and his behaviour, disrespected a parent, baited a child with ASD, and refused to correct his own error. He should not be serving the public. This was a career-ending performance — and I’ll be following it up. The worst part was my child commenting he sounds like he’s definitely spitting in your food! But he was also upset trying to apologise like he did something terribly wrong, we just wanted an ice cream a frozen coke and my dinner after waited three a long drive for this was about 8:20 pm maccas can do...
