Beck's Bakehouse — Restaurant in Adelaide

Up until today I had thought of Beck's bakery in Somerton Park as a good business in which to spend my hard earned money, today's experience has vastly changed this. I was in the store with my partner ordering lunch for my partner, daughter and myself. Now I understand social distancing in these time, I get that it's only 2 people in the store and I had already complied by scanning with the app. I was spoken to very rudely by a young 20 something blonde girl with glasses who expected me to leave to "make room for a paying customer ". I pointed out that I was but she still clearly wanted me outside. I again made my point that how was I to carry everything out by myself (I'm feeding a family). As if that's not bad enough the food that was "hot" was in fact lukewarm and the variety of goods was at best mediocre (As was the taste). There are bakeries that are closer, the food better and much more variety closer to home and I will be supporting them as a result. I only went to Beck's because they were open and my local wasn't. Congratulations Beck's, you have earnt this review and as a result of your poor customer experience and average food at best, I will recommend to all I know that their money is better...

This review is from someone who is pregnant with major food evasions and morning sickness as of late.

Unfortunately I was unable to eat my food as the ned kelly pie tasted like soggy tap water and the meat didnt have a meat consistency and the sausage roll tasted like watery chicken stuffing.

I will retry once I'm no longer pregnant and will leave a review then to see if it's just my evasions or if my authentic opinion is the same as now

My husband and I purchased a couple of sausage rolls and a pie plate. The woman who served us was less than happy to serve us, no smile just WHO'S NEXT. We left with our purchases and must say it was the worst sausage roll that I had ever eaten. The pastry was extremely dry and the filling was tasteless to the extent that I remembered when I had COVID I couldn't taste anything. Please do better or don't charge so much for your food. 2 sausage rolls and a pie plate cost over $31. We had two bites and the rest went to the dogs. So very disappointed and such a...
