Captain Chicken & Seafood (West Lakes) — Restaurant in Adelaide

Me my partner and 2 kids went in to get dinner for the first time at this business everything was good but wait was about 25 mins as we saw them making multiple orders while waiting, Witch was fine we didn't mind waiting even know we were the only customers at the time. Anyway we get home at 7:40 to start having dinner and soon realised something was wrong with my salad.. it smelt funny to be honest the rest of our food was fairly good, So I showed my partner and he told me "yeah it's definitely off" it's not right ring them up!! We've had greek salads loads of times and not once it ever smelt like this and it tasted fowl I called this place in hope that I could warn them about this and they kinda acted the opposite to what id expect they said the salad was fine and shrugged it off in a sarcastic way and then apologies and ask what was he expected to do about it and was very rude in the ending of the call I told him not to worry about it I was just warning them in order to take it off the shelf At the end of the day I won't be coming there again the place was run by younger ppl and the guy...

Only just found out it has changed hands when we ordered last night..ordering was painful, has to repeat myself 5 times as each time the order was wrong...prices gone through the roof. Ordered a beef schnitzel pack.. ended up in the bin..a small amount of watery peas, a mountain of tasteless carrots(obviously trying to get rid of them...qty of chips about an eighth of what we used to get ,they were also tasteless and floury. They used to be the best chips in the western suburbs...But the icing on the cake was the schnitzel itself....once cut up there were about 6 pieces of what could only be described as fried rubber...it would be the worse hot pack I have ever ordered...I give any new.business or owners a fair go. BUT when you are paying increased prices for garbage food then you shouldn't be in the business...sorry but if that's the standard of food you serve then we won't be back..and judging by other reviews...

I have to warn you, Plucka Chicken is a complete disaster that should be avoided at all costs. The chicken tasted like it was sourced from a farm of sickly, diseased birds and was so dry and overcooked that it was inedible. The sides were even worse, with fries that were so greasy and stale that they were practically inedible, and coleslaw that looked like it had been sitting out for days. The staff were equally terrible, with a complete lack of hygiene and professionalism, which makes me worry about the safety and hygiene of the kitchen. The atmosphere was appalling, with grimy walls, filthy floors, and a nauseating stench that makes me question how any sane person could ever consider eating there. Don't waste your time or money, and avoid Plucka Chicken...
