Old Habits Cafe — Restaurant in Adelaide

I’ve driven past Old Habits Cafe many times, kept saying I need to try there, I need to go there. I was reminded of its existence over the weekend and finally made a plan to go in.

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?!?!

This cafe is vibing! It feels trendy without being pretentious; Melbourne feels with Adelaide appeals!

“Come to the dark side, we have coffee”

Little Groot figures dotted all over the place. A shelf with free books - to swap or keep. Colouring pages and pencils for the little ones.

Usual breakfast choices, brunch choices and a kids menu too.

“You can do it.” - Coffee.

I am lucky enough to have visited during the week, so it was quieter than what I imagine the weekends are.

Indoor and outdoor seating, limited seating but enough to be comfortable.

Table water and glasses readily available.

Menus on the table, order at the counter.

Friendly and cheery staff and you can see the kitchen!

Now, onto the food.

There’s a display cabinet with yummy looking sweets.

I ordered the Avo Toast and an apple juice. (I amended my order to exclude eggs and add bacon). Food and drink came out quickly and was visually appealing. Bacon was cooked to perfection and the amount wasn’t stingy either!

A+++ Will return...

I arranged to meet 4 friends for a coffee at 4pm today (a week day) and I pulled into the car park at 3.55pm and they were closed even though it clearly says on the door 4.30ish. Total waste of mine and my friends time.. This is not the first time it's happen to me either I would understand if it was a one off but seems to be pattern. You can't close at 4pm even if your door says 4.30ish. If u are going to close at 4 then your door should say 4pm ish. Very annoyed.....

Note..... I have noticed the hours of trading on the front door has been changed and is now clear with no confusion... I called in the other day with my wife and enjoyed a great coffee and a fantastic feed with friendly service so for all these reasons I am changing my star rating from 1 to 5 I believe in giving credit where credit is due... It's amazing what a difference it makes when we got some friendly customer service and some really good quality food which was prepared to perfection. Will not hesitate to call in...

Another Perfect breakfast at the Perfect Cup. I have been coming here for many years. Unfortunately due to work changes I am unable to visit as often as I would like to. This morning my wife and I had breakfast. I had the omelette special which was amazing and my wife had a gluten free vegetarian 'Avo and Friends ' which was also amazing. Both meals arrived in a timely manner even though Peter and his team were under the pump. Old Habits has been my coffee go to for many years. There is so much more than coffee, There are plenty of food options for everyone as well as vegans and vegetarians and the gluten intolerant. If you aren't so hungry the cakes will soon change your mind, fantastic choices in the cake display. Make sure you make the time to call in for a meal or pick up a takeaway...
