This wasn’t worth the wait, especially for the quality of food that was offered. We ordered two Masala Dosas w/Onions, and a Schezwan Hakka Noodle Sizzler. Needless to say, this was the worst Indian food experience we have ever eaten- and that’s saying something as we’re Indian. Seriously, the food offered here was an insult to South India itself.
Okay, so let’s get into the food. The sizzler arrived…sizzling, as normal. At first it looked quite delicious, as it was topped with perfectly salted fries. However the charm rubbed off once we got to the actual noodle itself. It was a sea of red, the noodle was absolutely swimming in sauce. It was as if they used the entire bottle of schezwan sauce while making this. Then, there was the actual vegetables itself. There was no variety; compared to the usual sizzler, you’re usually greeted with an assortment of greens, some mushrooms, cauliflowers, peas and some cottage cheese. None of which was offered.
In a nutshell; if you’re looking to squeeze your arteries, go ahead and order the Schezwan Hakka Noodle Sizzler!
Onto the onion masala dosas. What in the actual hell were they thinking? They added SPRING ONIONS, rather than adding actual onions. That’s not how it really works. Then there was the potato filling. The potatoes weren’t fresh, the masalas didn’t taste fresh, and the chutneys? Oh god, avoid them. The colour of the coconut chutney had a greenish hue- a sign that it isn’t fresh.
So, overall, we waited for about 40 minutes; got greeted with food that wasn’t fresh, and noodles that were submerged in a pool of sauce. Yeah, I think my message is pretty clear; don’t go.
There’s a lot of improvements that can be made with food; because if this is addressed, perhaps this restaurant could really be something. So don’t take my review with disappointment, but use this to...
Read moreI have had couple of experiences. First time we got there in search of authentic south Indian food as it's name suggests so. But unfortunately, the Dosa was cooked by a Punjabi in a typically north Indian style. That day, we liked the Chana Bhatura.
Because we found out that the cooks are from north India not from south India and due to having good experience of Chana Bhatura, we thought of trying their Hakka Noodles one day. As the owner suggested that one won't be enough as a main course, we ordered two. But, I swear to God, I have never eaten such terrible tasting noodles ever in my life before. To be precise, the noodles were just simple Chowmin not a hakka noodle at all. In fact, a simple chowmin you might find in a very backward village of India would taste a little better than this I guess. But, yeah I could relate this chowmin with I might have tasted in a Punjabi village's poor wedding made by a local Halwai. There was so much ginger in noodles, that you would feel bitterness. Heaps of tomato sauce as well.
But, good part was that when I requested owner to change it with something else with an excuse that despite he suggested us that one would not be enough as main course, for us this much quantity is more than enough and our second box will be wasted. After a couple of requests he agreed to change it with Paw Bhaji. And thank God Paw Bhaji was at least eatable because the extra ginger poured into the bhaji was fully cooked at least.
Bottom line - Only stick to Punjabi Authentic Food like chana bhatura, daal etc. if you go there and don't get misled by the...
Read moreWorst experience ever. I ordered schezwan sizzler super spicy ( i knw schezwan sauce is spicy) which is still ok. And wat ever I order was spicy as hell I had few non indian friends with me. If I find the food spicy then what will be there situation. Panipuri which I ordered was the packet one and water was just like normal water. Then I ordered vada pau and asked them not to make it spicy but when order arrived and after one bit we realised it was again spicy as hell and when I requested for a non spicy one as i asked for they took the dish in the kitchen and brought back in 2 mins and said "This is what we make so we cant do anything" imagine this is wat they said. I asked for there manager they said there is no manager on shift today then I asked for any responsible person the person on the counter went in the kitchen and then came back saying there is no responsible person aswell. And the other guy serving said that owner is in the kitchen but dnt want to talk and he is not interested. so thats how there attitude is. I didn't wanted to post a negative comment thinking of our community member but one of my other friend also had same kind of experience recently. I wish i can give then negative star. They also didnt had a bill book or cant even print me the bill in the system. Please dnt go there guys ...
