I went here for lunch today with my 2 year old. The meal was lovely. I observed a customer telling the waiter that her food took too long to make and she needed to leave. The waiter was polite and apologetic; exactly how you would expect that to be handled. A few minutes after the chef who was in the middle of the train went to hand the order to the waiter, and he explained the lady left as she needed to go and it was taking too long. He was still very polite to the chef. The chef slammed the plate loud enough for my daughter to jump, and began yelling at the waiter all sorts of things; he didn’t do his job, he should have told him, he is not doing what he is hired for… This wasn’t an off the cuff comment, this went on for at least 3 minutes. He was so aggressive and loud. At one point the chef was yelling across me and my daughter at the waiter who was trying to clean up another table beside us. My daughter asked ‘what is happening mum?’ Which is when I packed us up as quickly as I could to leave. I feel so sorry for the waiter, and I cannot believe the chef would speak to anyone like that, let alone in front of a restaurant with small children there. I will never ever go back, this chef should not be working there, it makes me feel sick to this how that poor waiter...

I recently visited Kintaro Sushi, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The standout dishes for me were the Teriyaki Chicken and the Karaage Chicken.
The Teriyaki Chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy, with a sauce that had just the right balance of sweet and savory. Each bite was bursting with flavor, making it an instant favorite.
The Karaage Chicken, on the other hand, was crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. The seasoning was spot-on, and the accompanying dipping sauce elevated the dish to new heights.
The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything was to our liking. I highly recommend Kintaro Sushi to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
Read moreDinner. Haven't been there for awhile but everything was doused with teriyaki sauce or mayo. Unagi maki had teriyaki sauce on the seaweed making it soggy. The karaage chicken had mayo and teriyaki. Ewww... the 4 pieces were medium sized where else I like karaage because of the smaller pieces and batter.
My kid refused to eat the udon because the soup base was awful. The agedashi tofu did not use the softest tofu. It was kinda awful.
I like and love Japanese food by the way and Kintaro Sushi used to be very nice. I can't even work out the travesty that was the soft shelled crab sushi.
Only the tobiko maki was ok but then it's literally rice, seaweed and tobiko.
Service was desultory. It wasn't quite done under duress but there was a distinct lack of observation skills there.
It looks as if I can't patronise this restaurant anymore. I now have to look for a proper sushi...
