I went a couple weeks ago and I won't go back there. I ordered a soup which was good but I didn't like the service. Firstly I waited quiet a lot at my table and no one came to take my order so I want to the bar. One of the waiter told me to not carry the menu in that way because I was damaging it 🤨 I asked a fresh juice and they told me that they have only in bottle, so I ordered it but then I saw that table next to me had a fresh juice. I need to ask for cutlery because after my soup was served I didn't have any spoon. The waiters were so busy that I needed to stand up, they didn't hear and saw me when I was calling them. The staff were stressed and I could feel it. I really like eating with a good service, it is part of the experience and sorry it was terrible.

Nice and cosy place in the beautiful burnside shopping centre. The staff were so nice, friendly and professional. The food was ok but i expected more. The garnish with reduced balsamic vinegar on every dish was unnecessary. The ham and cheese croissant was not balanced. I love balsamic vinegar but it was not the right choice for these dishes. The ham was a bit dry and not enough cheese and the balsamic on the salad leaf was not the right match for the a simple classic dish with coffee. The strawberries on the smashed avocado was a nice twist but again the balsamic ruined the whole taste.the fresh orange juice and the coffee were so nice and tasty.

I ate at this place about a year ago and was only mildly impressed but decided to give it another go this morning while shopping at burnside and to my surprise it was fantastic! I had the deluxe breakfast which was a massive plate of bacon, egg, kransky sausages, spinach, mushrooms and tomato’s with nice fresh bread and found it to be of great taste and amazing value (under $20). I asked one of the waiters as I was so curious about the massive shift in quality and she informed me that it was under new management Which she explained a lot. I will definitely be back as this was a great experience.

Whilst the food is lovely I have to say the service was disappointing. I ordered a Cucina pasta which according to the menu on their website is vegetarian. I have also previously ordered this dish and thoroughly enjoyed it. However today whilst I was eating my pasta on my lunch break, I noticed it had salami in it. When I called to see whether I had been given the wrong order by mistake, the staff member told me I was not and I was offered a replacement however as I had already used my 30min lunch break to pick it up I was unable to. I was offered nothing else. I called a second time when another staff member informed me that they have a new take away menu which states that the Cucina pasta now contains meat, however this was only updated on Facebook not on Instagram or their website. It may not be a big deal to some but as a vegetarian this was extremely disappointing especially seeing that I only realised after I had already started eating it. I was not offered an apology or a replacement. It seemed that it was suggested it was my fault for not checking Facebook - certainly it's unreasonable to expect customers check three different platforms. I suggested they update their website and the staff member said they would inform their boss. I wasn't offered an apology, a replacement meal or a refund. At the end of the day it's not about money, merely that their was a miscommunication which resulted in me consuming something I did not want to consume for various reasons. Based on how this incident was handled I won't...

Today I went to LaCucina Cafe with a friend- it was a very unpleasant experience - I saw the head chef speak to two of his female staff in an intimidating manner- all over minutes taken for a coffee to be served previously. It was obvious they felt intimidated . He did this in front of a customer - I felt very sorry for these two girls -later I told one of them I did not like the manner or way she was spoken to - this must have been relade to him. He approached us- learning over the table with his face very close to mine. He was angry, rude, aggressive justifying his behaviour with staff having to learn hospitality. What a poor example of teaching staff with this unacceptable behaviour . I felt threatened and I did not appreciate being spoken to in this tone - he was a bully . I was frightened of him- I just wanted him to leave me alone and go away. You don't speak or treat people like this. I wish I had left this cafe -when I first heard this angry man talk to his staff -in this unacceptable way and I didn't have to put up with him approaching us the way he did. He is very intimidating and all he cared about was justifying himself and not at all seeing any of this from a customers point of view. No respect. His staff don't look happy no wonder- we won't be back again. I wonder if anyone else has observerd this or been...

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely appalled by the treatment from the owner today. We had a group booking of 10 for a staff party which had been confirmed twice this week leading up to today. When we got there the 1 girl that was there was very confused and said they didn’t open for another hour- yet she checked the book for us and confirmed our booking was in fact for 10am- the time we arrived. One of our group spoke to the manager and asked if we could still be seated as it would be near impossible to get a booking for 10 people at this late notice on a Sunday. After a brief discussion the Owner* over the phone told her to “get her “Sl#t friends out of his cafe”.

Absolutely appalling for a Burnside cafe. I do feel for the girl who had to deal with all of this as it was clearly not her fault.

I recommend anyone considering this cafe to take your money elsewhere- highly recommend babaloosta on Glynburn Rd who fit us in on the spot- impeccable food and service.

Will not be visiting this Cafe again as and will be advising others to steer clear as I would not want to support anyone with an attitude like his or can use the word Sl#t to customers who he hd...
