Sad to see the decline of a place that used to be one of the best. Despite several negative experiences over recent months, we have continued to return because your chips (while being super expensive and not generously supplied) are the best in the area. Our negative experiences relate to young people who need more training in the basics and who are not adequately supervised; consistency in portion size, double checking orders to ensure basic errors are not made and hygiene (you must not run your hand through your hair, rub your nose or eyes and wipe your face and then handle bags/food). The chip bags are stingily filled (by contrast the shop down the road next to Woolworths always always adds an extra scoop to the bag to make sure it’s really full) and the chips today were awful. Like inedible. Either overcooked or even worse, double fried to reheat. Dark brown, horrible texture. The large AB is really pricey at $21 and was so small. The same awful chips were used and the whole thing thrown together without care. For an additional $4 ($25 altogether) you can get a HUGE AB from the Yiros king down the road which easily feeds 2-3 people and Weighs literally 3 x as much as this one. I think we’re done and...
Read moreOne of my favourite places for a cheat dinner. They have a lot of options everything from your standard fish n chips to roast chicken, garlic potatoes, corn jacks, potato scallops, dim sum, hamburger, chicken burger, veggies, corn on the cob, yiros, another, hot dogs and tons of salad options. I'm sure I've missed some foods in that list.
They have plenty of vegetarian options and also are very helpful when I was avoiding wheat in my diet. They were helpful and went out of their way to help me avoid wheat (for example telling me to ask for my grilled fish to be done without any batter etc).
The staff are always very friendly and in a great mood making it a great experience to visit there.
There is no eat in option (though there are often random tables available outside) so it is generally take away although if you want to avoid queues just call and place an order over the phone. They keep it quite cool on hot days (don't ask me how with all those fryers etc) reasonable value for money and the food is always superb. Plenty of flavour and the food is always...
Read moreAlways loves this place, classic in my family. But recently there has been 2 girls working there who are both the rudest people I have ever met. Not only towards me, they have been rude to my mother aswell. Last time she was in there, she told me those two girls kept smirking and laughing at her while they were sitting in the corner on their phones while the rest of the staff were stressing.
Once, I ordered and had staff forget a hot dog. No big deal, I came back down, only to be berated by one of the girls for lying. She cussed me out saying she knows she put the hotdog in there. (She did not)
What used to be a regular dinner, has now become irregular because I genuinely dread walking in and getting those rude glances and laughed at by these girls. It's disgusting, and I don't understand how they're still allowed to stay working here. Especially after all the...
