We called and book a place for six for dinner on the eve of Christmas. Plus we were craving for good ol comfort food. Weather was really hot maybe that didn't help hence I'm writing a review two days after but the thought did not change. Walked in and was greeted politely to our table which had the sun hitting our face. Least they could have done is invest on some blinds. Never mind, we were hungry. Sambal char koew teow was spicy and that's about it. Tasteless otherwise. The normal char koew teow is pretty much like eating paper. Lack on soy sauce and was very oily. Good ingredients though but it does NOT taste like what it suppose to be. Satay was decent by its own. Peanut sauce was bad. Nasi lemak was depressing to eat. The portion was small but the curry was ok. Tasty. The sambal was lousy. Felt like eating some red tasteless chilli paste. The waitress on the later part was not friendly although the restaurant was half full. To get a bottle of water was a challenge. I don't get it. Maybe the cashier or the owner was pleasant to talk to and sorted out the over charge. The rest was a disappointment. It was a wasted hour drive to this place. To call it a Malaysian restaurant, I wouldn't. Loads to improve on the food and...

Food excellent. Spoiled by the deceitful, sneaky 15% public holiday surcharge that is NOT displayed or advertised anywhere which I’m pretty sure is illegal. Not on menus, not on register, not on door, not on website, not even told about it before ordering or before paying. This is wrong and ruined it for me. Do better, because 15% on an already overpriced $70 order is $14 and that’s more than delivery fees. I feel misled and frankly, ripped off.

Update: I never argued about needing the surcharge. I was pointing out the lack of notification. Get it right. The response is unacceptable. I’m reducing star rating to 1 for the lies about having the signs up and the lies about having a note on the website. At the time of me writing the review - there was nothing. There were no signs and nothing on your website. Just admit you failed in this regard. And not everyone uses FB or Instagram. The sour taste in my mouth just got worse....

Im alittle disappointed in this place that used to be a “hidden gem”. I have been visiting them since 2016 and found their food good. But a few days ago, I had ordered takeaway. First they said their takeaway tme was 25 mins. So i proceeded with the order and i was already running late to be somewhere.

They took an additional 15 mins which was unfair to the customer. It appears they may have cooked up dining in orders first and then takeaway orders instead of time of order. If they had told me it was goung to take 40 mins, i would have ordered from elsewhere.

Secondly, their food was bland. My mother thought they didnt add salt kinda bland. I had asked for slicy chicken fried rice. Not spicy as well.

Only thing good, customer service. Definitely...

A little Malaysian restaurant located in the south of Adelaide. We went on a Saturday night and it was very busy. We waited for almost 1 hour for all the food came after the ordering for our table. The entree came later than the main meals which was not very ideal. The food overall was OK. Lots of soup in seafood Hor Fan, it didn't seem to have much flavour in the rice noodles, but if you mix the soup and the rice noodles it will taste better and more balanced in flavour. The satay chicken pieces in the entree were not very big. Nasi lemak that my friend ordered looks nice. The service was friendly and they have interesting drinks and desserts as well.
