Terrible experience. There is no system here, you rock up and loiter until you find a table, like a savage. Then you have to line up to order, despite having enough staff for table service. We finally manage to jump on a table, and order our food and coffee. Mind u the food menu is really uninspired and limited. Food comes out first, we get half way through our meal and one of the two coffees we ordered arrived. Meanwhile, I finish my food (which was really meh), and my coffee still hasn’t arrived. Having the dogs with us it’s difficult to get up and go inside, so we get the attention of the young waitress. She assures us that the coffee is ready and will bring it out. We wait a further 10 min, and we see that the table next to us is getting their coffees. So I question the girl again, and I follow her inside so I can have them put my coffee in a take away cup. On the way in, the girl gets pulled over to another table, so I walk up to the barrister and politely ask if he has a batch brew (the easiest coffee to make, you just pour the already brewed coffee into the cup). The barrister says that it is ready and on the other side of the machine. So I walk over to grab the coffee, and this rude man (I assume is the manager or owner) stops me and questions if it’s my coffee. I explain I was told it was, and he arrogantly questions if I asked for milk on the side. I say “no”, and he rudely responds, “well it’s not yours then is it”? I further explain politely that I’ve been waiting for almost an hour for my BATCH BREW. To which he responds “if you have really been waiting an hour, you would have come up and said something”. I then explain that I asked his staff earlier to follow up my coffee. He instructs me to sit down and he will bring it out. When he did so, there was no apology or any form of customer service. The whole experience was terrible and gross. The only thing going for this place is that it’s right on the beach. Great view, but don’t bother. Get food and coffee from somewhere else and sit on a park bench, the quality and experience...

Update: incredibly disappointed that I did not get what I ordered for. I ordered a small Iced long black have here and instead I received (medium-large take away iced long black that was watered down too much with too much coffee)
It is incredibly disappointing that many cafes in my area do not make iced long blacks the traditional way, it should just be a shot of coffee in a latte glass with some ice and a little water. Instead they give you 2 shots with too much water and some ice and always in a take away container, I dine it because it’s much nicer and to prevent waste.
It would be best to correct anyone that tried to order something that you do not provide.
If they don’t make proper ice long blacks or iced lattes then I am not interested in coming here all summer for a lesser good and larger portion of drink and too much coffee with added waste.
I have no where to get one from in the area near the beach which I frequent. Looks like I will lose out unless Nest is happy to make ice long blacks (and iced lattes) the traditional way and able to have in dine in cups.
Their normal “hot” coffees are good and done the normal way, the good and...
Read moreAh, nothing like starting your morning by slow-roasting in the South Australian sun! The Nest Kiosk offers a prime oceanfront spot, where you can enjoy your breakfast and simulate what it feels like to be a croissant in an oven.
We braved the heat for the Eggs Benedict (with a side of bacon and a hash brown, because of balance) and the classic smashed avo. Both were delicious—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and generous in portion. Honestly, the only thing that could've made them better was a little more shade… or a personal air conditioner.
The place was packed, but the service was impressively fast. That said, our breakfasts did arrive before our coffees, which felt a little backwards—like getting the prize before running the race. But hey, caffeine delays build character, right?
The real star here, though, is the view. Adelaide’s blue waters are so stunning, it almost makes you forget you’re slowly melting into your seat. Well almost.
Final Verdict: Great food, speedy service, and unbeatable views—just pray for a cool day or bring your own shade.
Would I return? Absolutely, but l would I also bring an umbrella and a portable...
