I have lived in Seaford for 10 years and I have never been kicked out of anywhere until yesterday😪. I was having an appointment to support my child with special needs and we needed to discuss some complex needs and and because it's very emotional and painful I decided to meet with a support worker in a Cafe as I have done in the past. I chose to sit where I could view the only entry and exist of the place to see when the support worker showed up and to Gage the flow of customers coming in in case it got to busy and we needed to move. When I arrived I asked if they had table water as I'm trying to lose weight and it's the first thing I ask for when I'm eating out and then I take time factoring in the calories. I decided I was going to just have water (now bought water, from the support worker, which is a normal practice) until the meeting was finished and then I could have lunch. I didn't want to be rude and eat infront of the support worker and I have just had a chi latte and piece of banana bread from the lovely Jack at Gloria Jeans. I knew it would be close to lunch time when our appointment ended and we stared at 10am. When I sat down I discussed the seating as it was retro diner and I wanted to to create that booth dining in my home and I studied interior design. It was a lovely conversation. However, just as I was finishing my water bottle and wrapping up my meeting and considering what to eat there for lunch within my dietary restrictions, one of the owner from the store (who wears orange lipsick) Told us we needed to go as she needed to clean up for lunch time and if we weren't buying anything else we should leave, in a a very gruff manner. I wasn't asked politely if I was order lunch or told there was a maximum time of being there due to covid. I was shocked. I have never been treated like that before. Infact because of living down by the beach I frequent a lot of cafes and the consensus is relaxed vibes and they are places you can relax and sit as long as you choose. I decided to wait until She crossed my path again and she just delivered a sandwich and I told her I was going to order lunch to which she was rude to me again and I said I'm not going to worry about it now. She then a shed me to leave and I said I will when we finished our drinks and she said no you can leave now and proceeded to call security. I suffered from Anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder and I walked out of there shaking like a leaf as it stressed me out and I'm not a confrontational person. I was in fact going to order coffee and cake after lunch and I had to go elsewhere. Thankfully the team and security in the central management where quite supportive. I don't feel happy or safe to shop there again.
I honestly hope this experience doesn't happen to anyone else there...
Read moreI did like coming here. We would as a family come every week for a coffee and lunch and buy all our bread for the week. Lately the customer service has been terrible. With orders being placed and then incorrect and then having to be asked three times what it is we wanted. Today I visited with my newborn. I went to the back and waited for my family. I thought I would go to the back with the pusher as out of the way and the tables out the front were taken. I am aware the sign says no trolleys past a certain point. A lady server came over after we had been there for some time and said. Pushers are not allowed back here but because it's not busy we won't ask you to move. Well 1. There is no sign saying this. 2. Don't overcrowd the seating. 3. No longer value this place as family friendly. Will be taking business to the other end...

I bought a pizza pie (server didnt even ask if i want sauce or not) so i went back and asked can i have sauce, he just grabbed it off me, squeezed a small pindrop of sauce and gave it back to me so rudely (sorry for wasting ur time mate!) anyways, i take a bite out of the pie and god knows how long the pie had been sitting in their heatbank but it was rock solid. Absolutely disgusting. The owner is a lovely guy, think hes name is Paul but cmon mate u gotta up the service of ur staff and make sure the food isnt too old or stale!
