The staff are friendly, most times… although when I went there recently and my coffee was finally made and brought to me the man that worked there put my cup of coffee onto the table in front of me with such an attitude! All of the other times I was handed the cup to my hands with care by the female staff until then!
Maybe he should’ve stayed at home like the rest of us who are treated like lazy dole bludgers, even though we are capable of harder work than handing someone a cup of coffee they ordered!, the rest of you greedy tax paying slaves who work anywhere including ‘if’ at this place whom are at least greatful for decent human interaction should continue to serve that great coffee without the attitude problem as up until that last cup of coffee I had was served!….?
The wait times for the delicious coffee they do make was not worth the wait and stress in my opinion!. Every time I have sat there by myself in the seating situated at the service side (front of the restaurant) I have felt anxious to wait about 5-10 minutes in an area that has got to be one of the most busiest areas of the plaza, basically an ‘intersection’ of the main walkway inside the plaza!
Therefore “NOT very sensory friendly” for people with Autism such as my self!
It felt like being put up on a pedestal at a dog pageant and thereupon smothered by noise and movement on all sides to wait about 10 minutes for a coffee I could have bought about 5-10 meters away at McDonalds who have great coffee too with probably just as much if not less staff working in the coffee sector in particular at any given moment and that they serve you much faster somehow than ‘St George’s Bakehouse’!
If it wasn’t the poor wait time which has only gotten worse for me each time I’ve been there and also for that worker who had the attitude problem, I would have given a solid five stars for service and for the food quality! The atmosphere is always going to be the same for me regardless of the staff who work there because it’s inside the plaza and I don’t really always like to be there for as long as I have to!
It’s rarely a hangout spot for me like the rest of the townsfolk!
But I own a manual coffee making utensil and am considering to just use that and stay at home for...
Read moreJust tried to grab a quick croissant and cappuccino this morning and unfortunately, yet again, the hot beverage took way too long to get to me. The food was out to the table quickly, but the coffee came out too late, after me having to ask for it again.
I am always one to give a place a fair shot, and this is now the 3rd instance in the past 6 months were our drinks arrived at the table well after we'd finished our meals. The reason always given is "that we're busy" but there were only 4 other customers this morning and 2 of them were already dinning.
Perhaps get someone properly trained as a barrista as I doubt the person doing bit now is confident enough to work at a...

After being served by the owners son who has no respect for mature age customers. Which is where all of this bakeries business comes from. He should not be allow to operate the front of shop. He not only gets customers food orders wrong not once but twice. Service is very slow. Coffees are lukewarm. He is very out spoken and shouts at customers when the customer speaks back. He is rude and has no respect and doesn’t listen to the customer. He is creating a bad reputation for his mother’s business. I will not recommend St George Bakery at Hollywood Plaza. There is other venue at this shopping centre people can have a coffee...
