I knew the Macaron Bar by chance during my visit in early April 2025 to the Adelaide Showground Farmers' Market. During that visit, I bought a box of ten macarons which were very beautiful, colourful and delicious.

Today, I visited Colonnades Shopping Centre at Noarlunga. I remembered Macaron Bar situates at Christies Beach, just a few minutes driving away, so I treasured the chance to visit their main shop to see how they looked like.

I wondered they might have already been closed when I tried to visit them at 5:00 pm. Unbelievably, Google Map showed that they remained open until 8:00 pm today, which was a Saturday.

When I arrived their shop, I found they were just a simple and little store just selling macaron and cup cake only, without any drinks or seating for dine-in. That's fine as I just intended to buy takeaway for eating at home only.

The lady who served us, who was also the stall-keeper I met before in the Adelaide Showground Farmers' Market. She was very nice and friendly. We chose our ten pieces macarons slowly, but she patiently served us with smiles.

The macarons were very beautiful, colourful, and a big variety was available. The packing box was elegant and lovely.

This is an amazing local small family business, and they have done such a good job to make such spectacular macarons. 100% support and will definitely visit their stall at Adelaide Showground Farmers' Market or this main shop at Christies Beach whenever we travel down south...

Visited for the first time today and bought a six pack, the service was lovely and the lady even offered me a free one for the road. When I got to the car and checked the pack she had even slipped in another free one (given me two freebies)! This is the sort of priceless customer service that can only be found in a small local business. Little did the girls know, I was buying these as a little pick me up for my wife who has been very unwell for the last month. So not only did they make my day, but they made hers as well. Thank you very much for helping me gain a little bit of faith back in humanity and I will...

This little hidden away shop is where joy is kept. Not only are the staff the absolute loveliest, but the macarons are delicious and the flavour range means there’s always something new to try- it’s the perfect place to stop for a pick me up after a stressful day. The cupcakes are also incredibly good, and almost too pretty to eat. The staff are also willing to refer to the macarons as a protein source when you’re trying to justify them as a post workout treat (they’re mostly egg whites and almonds right?), which I really appreciate 🤣 All up they’re delicious and a great way to treat yourself or loved ones to...

The Macaron Bar in Adelaide offers a delightful selection of beautifully crafted macarons that are a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds. The texture is spot-on, with a perfect balance of crispness and chewiness. The flavours are inventive, and each macaron is delicately made. The staff are incredibly friendly, adding to the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. However, a couple of the flavours were a bit on the overly sweeter side, and some had a slightly artificial aftertaste. Using more natural flavourings could elevate the experience even further. Overall, a great spot for anyone craving high-quality macarons!

Best macarons I have had in Australia so far and the top three in general. The shop is a little hidden gem and worth the trip from wherever you are. As a macaron lover they not only have great flavor options available but passionate and friendly staff. The quality down to the butter creme shows the skills of the bakers. If I had to pick a favorite out of all the delicious macarons that I tried it would have to be the earl grey. I can't wait to go back again and try more.
