After multiple questionable visits never wrote a review as even though service was slow at best food has always been okay and its only fast food so who really cares that much but after ordering food on the 28.5.21 I would have to question if they even had a manager on shift or how their business even produces a profit.
Ordered a pack of nachos through drive through around 8.30pm 28.5.21 asked for what should be the simplest order of the night chicken cheese and sour cream nothing else was even re asked if i wanted sauce just to make shore they got it write. Got home to find it had many toppings not asked which is okay everyone makes mistakes its only fast food worked in the industry for many years nothing new really so jumped in the car drove down to get the order changed should have been a simple cool wrong order remake it done. But after getting to the shop around 9pm i stood in the store with no order but a drive through and ended up waiting around 5 minutes for a leaving staff member to look at me and continue to walk out to say high to friends in store, another 5 minutes later 2 other uniformed staff members walked straight past me at the front counter holding a Zambrero bag which should have been a red flag to hug and talk to there friends whilst I still waited until there non employee friend mentioned they might want to serve me when finally after 10 minutes I got served the lady was apologetic and started to remake the food ( not that she changed her gloves ) whilst making it the other lady presumably the manager came up and decided to question me on the remake asking what was wrong with it and for a receipt ( as a company Zambrero's does not offer or forcefully provide a receipt at the drive through so I find it quiet funny that they wanted me to provide one ) So after 15 minutes in the store with no cars in the drive through and three uniformed staff members on i finally got the...
Read moreMade an online order at 6:17pm for pick up with estimated time for pick up in store at 6:32pm. After waiting more than an acceptable time after the estimated pick up time, and my father inlaw already receiving his order with basically the same estimated pick up time, I questioned where my order was. I was told they would START making my order, as countless cars were served in the drive through. After 2 of our burritos were made I was told another team member would finish the kids boxes. After another 15mins waiting I had to ask AGAIN who was finishing the order. All the while more and more cars were being served in the drive through and uber eats orders were picked up. We waited for the order to be completed for over 40min in total and was reimbursed for the obscene wait time with 1 brownie...1!
We asked for the manager, but conveniently there was not one present, only a supervisor.
So to the MANAGER OF THE STORE. BE PRESENT AND GET RID OF THE DRIVE THROUGH. ITS NOT FAST FOOD LIKE MACCAS OR HJ'S. THE WAITING CUSTOMERS IN STORE ARE MORE IMPORT THAN THOSE IN CARS THAT ARRIVE 30MIN AFTER SAID PEOPLE IN THE SHOP!!!! Fortunately for the shop I had left my wallet at home, otherwise I was demanding a full refund.
Unfortunately the food was acceptable, except the added cornchips to the burrito were missed, otherwise it would have been sent back over the counter after such a ridiculous wait time.
It would have been faster to walk in and order instead of doing it online. Zambrero should never have a drive through and all app orders should be made by separate team.
Sorry for the wait is NOT good enough especially when kids have been kept waiting for their food so long that they should have finished it by the time it was handed to us.

While staff messed around out the back talking about in their words "gross" stuff we waited and waited and bloody waited. They were too busy messing around and NO the drive through was not busy, your app wasn't allowing orders and there was 1 uber order. Lazy rude and ridiculous. Im done! I don't know what happened but you used to smash it I was a regular. Epdit from 5 stars to 1. I ordered throught the app a burrito bowl with no lettuce as it causes my mum to choke. They served it with lettuce causing my mum to choke lije whack your back hard to breathe choking, sometimes people make changes due to health requirements and to ignore those requests can be dangerous. The nacho bowls had barely any chips i knowtheir nachos and this was half serve of chips, I ordered one with extra sauce and paid for it but it wasn't there, we ordered onion salsa and paid for it not there. I emailed the following day as I knew I was upset and emotional after seeing the distress the lettuce caused my Mum. I had the loveliest email from Kat apologising and asking for the photos and offering a refund. I sent the photos showing lettuce in the bowl, no extra sauce etc. No response and no refund. Followed up a week later no response. Loved this Zambrero but pretty disappointed now.
Original 5 star review I love this Zambreros we often comment how well they do choosing and training their staff. I love that we can go in have some fun when we order, they are accommodating with what we want and the food is always fresh and yummy.
