A Jolly Good Feast at the Grand Hotel: Chef Lee’s Culinary Kingdom Step aside, Michelin. Clear the runway, MasterChef. Armidale’s own Grand Hotel has officially become the epicentre of divine dining, thanks to the wizardry of Chef Lee, the most enchanting chef this side of the Milky Way. From the moment you cross the threshold, you are greeted not just by the scent of sizzling excellence, but by an atmosphere lovingly seasoned with soul, elegance, and a hint of rock ’n’ roll. The menu? A handwritten love letter to tastebuds. Whether it’s a slow-cooked lamb that whispers sweet nothings to your palate, or fresh seafood so delicious it defies all laws of physics—every dish is a masterpiece plated by a man with a whisk in one hand and the universe in the other. Lee doesn’t just cook. No no—he conjures. He pirouettes between flaming pans like a kitchen sorcerer, equal parts passionate artist and cheeky alchemist. Sauces sing. Vegetables rejoice. Even the cutlery seems smug to be in his presence. And the best part? It’s not just fine dining—it’s Jolly fine dining. Each plate arrives like a warm hug from your favourite eccentric uncle who happens to moonlight as a culinary genius. The desserts? Rumour has it angels descend just to lick the plates. If you haven’t yet dined at the Grand Hotel under Chef Lee’s reign, you haven’t truly lived. Go for the food, stay for the magic, and don’t forget to tip your hat (and your waiter). Five out of five forks. Jolly Good. Utterly...

My husband ordered a medium rare and he got exactly that he also praised his salad as the best he’s had in a long time. The grand hotel is a very happy place. The bar staff were chatty and friendly and Peta came over and we also...

Food was great, everyone had a great time catching up. Thanks to the unflappable staff, would recommend and will go again. Order the barramundi, it was melt...
