Loot Cottage is a laid back place to have a peaceful breakfast or brunch and as they write on the bottom of their menu, 'This is not a fast food cafe'. The owners are very friendly and very "it'll be ready when it's ready", so stop rushing through your life, just sit down and take your time and enjoy the friendly, slower pace. The food is delicious and the prices are not expensive. Oh, and the thickshakes are yummy, too.

I’ve been coming here with my mum since I was young, always loved the food, the milkshakes, and the spiders they make. It’s always had a nice relaxing atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. If you’re ever in town you should give this place a try!

My husband and I have enjoyed The Loot Cafe many times and the last time we were there was just a couple of hours ago. There's so much to say about this cafe but in a nutshell. .. It's wonderful! From the service, the great quality food, the ambience, Gluten free options (including pies and pancakes!) and reasonable pricing, it's just great. Found this little gem on our way from Ballarat to Melbourne. Had an amazing lunch as a family with our dog in the wonderful backyard. Our son has coeliac disease and they had a separate gluten free menu with lot’s of options he can choose from. He had a burger and it tasted exactly like a home-made burger. Very friendly staff, great service and family friendly. Even have an area for the dogs.

Personally, this is my favourite cafe in town and it is the best value.

Loot isn't the most trendy place, it doesn't have a big kitchen. What it has is a cosy place to have a feed and catch up with your friends or family and the owners seem value every client. Even when you haven't been in for a while.

People should get in and enjoy what Loot has to offer.
