Stumbled across this little eatery when we originally drove to the precinct for fish and chips. Hubby spotted from afar and wanted to check it out. When we realised it was Thai cuisine, we were both very keen to try especially its rated 5 stars out of 67 Google reviews and we both love authentic Thai food. Place looks small, but there are decent number of seatings for a small place like this without feeling too crowded.

We ordered fried chicken, papaya salad, pad Thai, pork ribs (full rack) and Thai milk tea. Oh boy, we were so glad that we gave it a try. The taste of the food (especially pad Thai and papaya salad) and Thai milk tea were out of this town, even better than most of the expensive Thai restaurants we’ve dined around Perth, for a fraction of the price and bigger portions. Papaya salad was very spicy but that’s exactly how the authentic flavour should be. Fried chicken was very crunchy, great flavour. Pad Thai had the perfect blend of sweet, sour and savoury flavour, plenty of bean sprouts, peanuts and chilli powder. Hubby ordered pork ribs thinking it’s Thai style but turned out to be Western style with plenty of chips and a little salad. Nevertheless, excellent flavour and chips were super crunchy and absolutely divine in taste.

Thai milk tea made to be very strong tea flavour, perfect blend of milk and sweetness, unlike the diluted tea most Thai restaurants would serve up which disappoints me big time. Hubby usually doesn’t like Thai milk tea, but he drank half of mine and absolutely loved it (sad for me :() Best of all, the prices here are very reasonable, especially with the portions served. Free Jasmine tea is also served here :)

Our second visit was a disappointing one though. The papaya salad was no where near as tasty as 1st time, made too salty and just can’t be eaten on its own - apparently this was made by a different staff to our 1st visit. The boat noodle was not what I had expected, no where near the authentic ones I’ve tried elsewhere, missing all the internal organ meats for the full flavour, portion is very small for the price charged. As with the pork belly rice, the pork tasted either over cooked or re-cooked as it was quite hard and dry and the flavour was nothing spectacular. So you may find this place a hit & miss depending on what you order and...

Simply the best tasting Thai food I’ve had in a long while.

We ordered a spread of dishes, starting with the Pad Thai noodles with chicken—absolutely spot on, full of the flavour this dish is supposed to be known for. The papaya salad was another highlight; I asked for it spicy, and it came out at just the right level for me—enough to knock your socks off, so tread carefully if your spice tolerance is low. The fried chicken wings were perfectly crispy and downright addictive. The ribs leaned more towards a Western style, but still tasty if that’s what you’re after. To cool things down, the Thai milk tea was refreshing and well-balanced.

The prices are great value, especially considering how fresh and delectable everything was. Service was warm and genuinely friendly—the kind that makes you feel welcome right away. We actually stumbled upon this place by accident, and it turned out to be a gem.

A bonus worth mentioning: there’s a liquor store right next door, and the restaurant is fully BYO, which makes the whole experience even better value.

Do yourself a favour—don’t just take my word for it. Go try it for yourself. I’m pretty confident you won’t be...

Great little find tucked away in Balga.... We enjoyed our first take away meal which started off with the chicken satay 🥜sticks with the most delicious satay sauce 🥜I have ever had!✔️✔️ Then the best Thai green chicken curry and chicken fried rice was had. The fragrant kaffir lime leaves 🍃 really made this thai curry stand out. ✔️✔️✔️ We were given a free try of island noodles too!!✔️ The crispy pork dish was nice but we were a little full by this time ✔️✔️ The pad Thai is for lunch tomorrow😁 I asked if they could make Khao Soi with pork riblets - this is a northern Thailand coconut curry soup with pork ribs and egg noodles, topped with crispy noodles, pickled mustard greens, and cilantro. I'd come every week if it was on the menu 🫣🫠 I'm looking forward to the red Thai curry next😁 Nice little restaurant, really nice food and lovely owner/staff.....and a spotlessly clean restaurant. ✔️✔️✔️✔️ Will be in again for sure...

This place is a hidden gem local! We came and welcomed with a super friendly man. Clean and tidy joint. The Pad Thai was pretty good, the beef pad kha prow needs some improving though, better quality mince should fix it. The highlight was the chicken satay, meat pieces were tender and fresh enough, peanut sauce was just right. Definitely the place to try if you’re in the area, we’ll be back if we’re in the area!
