Ambers Cafe and Boutique Cakes — Restaurant in Batemans Bay

Boy oh boy. At MLK once bravely stated “I have a dream”. A dream, he had. a dream I too have. Though my dream may differ from Martins (rip), I think even he would agree it is of similar importance. “Mjewx! What’s your dream?” Glad you asked! To get lettuce and spinach on my $12 beef burger! For my wedges to not be soggy! For my daytime hot chocolate to be anything more then a warm stream of slimy caramel tasting goo! Is this too much to ask? Am I wrong to protest! You can judge for yourself. But somewhere deep in your mind, you too know, I deserved...

Ordered a $100 cake as a surprise 50th delivery to my son. Photo on right of cake ordered. I actually requested for Turkish delights if possible added and a name plaque. Photo on left of disgusting cake delivered. What an embarrassment. I trusted Ambers and have been badly let down. When cake was cut it was very doughy. Why would you leave instructions “Do not refrigerate”. Such a disappointment to support a local small business and have this delivered for a special occasion. My son will only be 50 once in his life....

We visited Amber's cafe for a cake tasting for our wedding. Amber went above and beyond to accommodate for our dietary needs. She made the most delicious GF and LF cakes for us to try, I've never had such delicious cake before (could not even tell they were GF/LF)! Nothing was too much trouble. She was so friendly. Her cafe had such a lovely, quaint vibe. We couldn't have found a better person for the job. So looking forward to the cake on our wedding...
