Great authentic Afghan food. A very unusual place to dine in Perth. True Afghani ambiance where you sit down in a traditional style on hand-woven Afghani silk carpets and the food is served in huge platters. Food is delicious and gives a feeling of having a quick trip to the valley of Kabul. The Kabuli Pulao is a must try, in addition to the meat skewers, available in chicken, lamb and beef. Their traditional Afghan bread (Nan) is delicious and tastes great when warm. Family-friendly atmosphere with a little Afghan grocery shop within the restaurant. A must-try if you dare to be different and like to try some unusual food in a unique environment.

Not impressed at all! Ordered over the phone, asked for a gozleme, a pide and mixed meat skewer. Went to pick it up and the only thing correct on the order was the gozleme. When questioned about the incorrect order was told they don't make pides which was never said when the order was placed. They refused to listen or accept they got the order wrong. Was charged $78 for two small containers of meat, a gozleme and two stale naan breads. The gozleme was also dripping in grease which leaked through the bag. Average over priced food and terrible customer service. Have added a photo to show what $78 worth of food looks like from here.

5-Star Review: A Hidden Gem in Kabul of Perth!

I recently discovered a culinary treasure in Perth that left me in awe! The Kabul Cafe is a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic, mouth-watering Afghan cuisine.

Standout Dishes:

Skewers: Tender, juicy, and full of flavor, the skewers are a must-try. Choose from a variety of options, all expertly grilled to perfection. Qabuli Rice: Sensational! This traditional Afghan dish is cooked to a fluffy delight, infused with aromatic herbs and flavors. Freshly Baked Bread: Served with every meal, this warm, crispy bread is the perfect accompaniment to soak up all the savory goodness with the yogurt sauce.

Ambiance and Service:

Cleanliness: Immaculate! The restaurant is spotless, ensuring a comfortable dining experience. Hospitality: The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, treating every guest with kindness and respect. They truly have a "massive heart" for serving others.

For All Ages:

Whether you're a young child or a grandmother, this little gem will surely delight. The Kabul Cafe is a family-friendly haven that caters to all ages and tastes and is a truely family restaurant.

In Summary:

Don't miss out on this incredible dining experience! Order the skewers of your choice, paired with Qabuli rice and freshly baked bread, and get ready to be transported to a world of flavors and...

This review is not about their food but their customer service. They have a stupid policy that if you need bread you can not reserve it by calling more than 10 minutes before. I live at 20 minutes drive from the shop and needed bread therefore called them. They said on the phone they do have breads but they do not take orders more than 10 minutes before and I need to walk in and place order. I drove all the way and when reached there and asked for bread, they said they have a few breads but somebody else has already reserved it. This means a person who lives nearby and could get there within 10 minutes, could call and reserve breads and get it. But the person who drove all the way for 20 minutes, can not reserve it but could just meaninglessly drive because of their stupid policy. Such a pathetic customer service...
