What a surprise to find a true taste of Hong Kong out in Beechboroâcomplete with BBQ roasts. We dropped in for a casual Sunday lunch and were impressed to see that, even during our short visit, the restaurant had drawn in a steady stream of local Asian dinersâa quiet but strong reflection of just how genuine the food is here at Ning Kwong, translated as Tranquil River Chinese Restaurant.
We ordered a spread of Cantonese classics and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and that unmistakable hit of wok hei (!)âthe chef is definitely not messing around. Dishes we had for lunch were King prawn vermicelli in xo sauce. Peking spare ribs Sizzling lamb Salt n pepper flounder( Chiu Imm) Ginger chicken in claypot.(Keong pek kai po)đ

Loh Mei including pig intestines - their version has more herbs and spices added to it. Much more complex flavour & very enjoyable.
Am assured that their Chinese BBQ Meats are cooked by themselves resh every morning.
We were so busy eating that we forgot to take...
