Stumbled on this place on my way down from Dorrigo. Really cool place with a bunch of cool young women busy getting the place ready for the day. I ordered an iced long black as there was no cold brew on the menu. It was half the price of many places in Brisbane which was pleasing. No takeaway cups so you have to either take your own reusable cup or drink it in the very inviting and funky cafe they have set up. When the girls were making my iced long black I they decided to use the pre-made cold coffee they had in the fridge. Out of curiousity I asked how the coffee was made and they suggested it was "cold brew". I tried to clarify as I have come across places that called an iced long black, "cold brew". The girl pouring the coffee seemed to think I was being critical and said she could make it fresh (she wasn't rude at all). I tried to reassure her that I was just curious and I explained that "cold brew" is made cold and isn't a hot coffee cooled down. She suggested it was in fact cold brew coffee but when I took a sip it distinctly tasted like an iced long black.... For the price I certainly wasn't complaining but if it's cold brew they should keep experimenting with their method or they may as well just make iced long blacks.

In spite of this, I liked the place and would go back. Primarily it's a gelato place and the girls are young and still learning. I'll drop in next time and maybe have something to eat...

We've often visited this gelato bar and will do so again when holidaying in the area. However, our last visit a couple of weeks ago was pretty ordinary.

It was a weekend, with weekend staff, a teenage boy and girl. The store was quiet other than one other customer. The boy stood behind the counter waiting. No greeting or smile. Just stood there. We told him our flavour choices. Without a word, he proceeded to prepare the ice cream—without gloves so his hands were entirely wrapped around the cones—and hand them over.

We knew the price so the cash was passed over the counter to him. He took the money without acknowledgement and gave back the change—handling dirty cash with the same hands that he wraps around cones! He then walks away. An entire service provided without a single word spoken. I didn't know that was even possible!

Poor hygiene and...

I had some of my Ugandan family visit and the staff there were very competent and understanding of the clicking noises they occasionally made while conversing. I tried the kidney bean and nesquick pizza that was the house special and my and my Ugandan family agreed that it was a winner. After eating so many kidney beans I needed to use the bathroom and was pleased to say that the facilities were fantastic but the haunted vet surgery kinda spooked me out a little. We never tried any gelato because we are all lactose intolerant butnall in all it was a pleasant day. One down side to our visit was there was no places for me to tie up my horse and I was...

This is about the best Gelato I have had, and I have had alot. There's an emphasis on fresh ingredients and intensely true flavours: the sorbets are especially memorable (Sour Cherry, Apricot, Raspberry, Dark Chocolate Mousse) and the Gelato has a texture and fineness which is first-class, I liked the Burnt Caramel and Persian-inspired Bastani very much. Oh and they also make wonderful coffee and the staff are really friendly.. The place is just awesome and a real gem on the North Coast 💎
