Berri Bakehouse — Restaurant in Berri

So after going to this cafe for years, today I quit and went to a different one. And in fairness to them, I want to explain why.

When you order a sandwich, with specifics, staff taking the order should take better note of those specifics and deliver on those specifics. Moreso when there might be health reasons for those choices.

For example, if I say I would like a beef, cheese and tomato toastie, cut in half, that's what I want. In 4 visits in 4 weeks, they got it wrong. Last week it wasn't toasted, week before that there was no tomato. For 2 weeks before that it was cut in quarters.

Yes, I know I could go back and demand a correction from extremely busy staff, and I get that, but being the patient and forgiving person I am, I gave them a chance. Seeing food wasted is also something I abhor.

Put simply, if the pressure at lunch time is causing this level of error on a regular basis, either some retraining is needed or more staff might be prudent.

Yes, I am likely to go back, and is the reason why I thought a review might help facilitate that. The staff are lovely people, their service is quite good, but delivery on what is ordered...

Stopped to grab a snack and a coffee me and the wife the woman serving no hello not a sound seen more personality on a dead fish ordered 2 coffees and 2 potato pies told her to eat here then my card tap wasn't working rather than ask me to move the card grabbed my hand and dragged it to the correct position 😑 then food was ready get the coffees in a takeaway cup ,I went back and asked why we didn't get cups as on display and we were eating in ? Was told I have to ask for a cup or you get a takeaway so why the hell was i asked eat here or take away so got it put into a cup service bad food average...

VERY RUDE STAFF

The staff is very rude. My 4 year old daughter was just pointing to pick out a cake and one of the staff yelled at my daughter saying “DON’T TOUCH THE GLASS I JUST CLEANED IT”. This was heard throughout the whole plaza. My daughter got shocked and she thought she did something wrong and the staff member showed no remorse.

I spoke to the superviser but she also did not care about what happened and just shrugged it off.

People should not be treated like this let...
