Kembali Cafe — Restaurant in Blueys Beach

Wouldn't recommend. Frustrating service that comes from the top down. We asked one young waiter for water, who went inside to get it and then came back out, without water, specifically to say we had to go get our own. Couldn't he have just brought the water out and asked that we go get it next time? The day before, we were standing at the counter with the person behind it chatting away and drying glasses, while looking at us, for a good 2 minutes before asking if she could help. Last straw was on the third day. They close the breakfast menu bang on 11 (arrived at about 11:05) - fine. But they also have limited vegetarian options on their lunch menu. I went over the road and got something there and brought it back to eat with the 3 other people in my group, who were still eating and drinking at their cafe. Management came over and told me that I couldn't eat it there (it wasn't a huge meal, and I wasn't asking for or using their knives and forks etc, I just had a small takeaway box). Consequently, they lost about $100 in business because the entire table left after their coffees. The rest of the group were all going to eat lunch and likely order another round of coffees. Kembali Café catered the Kirana Haag Art & Wellness Retreat in Charlotte Bay that ran for 3 days.

Every meal was carefully crafted and clearly made with love, the flavours exciting and complex.

The ingredients were super fresh and of the highest quality, and the hand made condiments were the cherry on top of every meal.

The portions were huge and Evan kindly customized the meals adding salads and extras to take each meal to the next level he also kindly catered to our gluten free guests.

We will definitely be using Kembali Café again for our September retreat and are looking forward to another amazing weekend of delicious food!

I am stunned looking at any negative reviews of this place, (often petty gripes) We have just moved to Crescent Head & been here twice, & just wish we had you at Cresso!!!! If you want a plate of healthy Indo style food made with care & love for food...this is your lunch spot...(lots of great vegetarian options) nice juices, but we went for a coconut lychee drink, a black coffee & a raw cocao slice...all spot on A very causal setting & service, young local gals waiting/serving adding to it's lovely relaxed & friendly vibe... a wonderful tropical feel with palm lined shopping strip opposite ..not fancy, but it's not trying to be ..it knows what it is ... we would be visiting at least weekly if we had you near by ... an...
