We had eaten at the Cheeky Chopstick on 4 separate occasions previously and had always been more than satisfied both with the service and food quality. Since then, almost a year ago, something has drastically changed. Last night we ordered takeaway, and we were extremely disappointed in the quality of each of the dishes. The ‘special’ fried rice was anything but! Apart from a couple of tiny prawns in a container of gluggy brown rice there was nothing to commend it as special. The barramundi was quite tasty, however the soggy lettuce that accompanied it spoiled the dish. The flavour of the beef with special sauce was nondescript. At $67 for a takeaway meal for two people we feel that the food is overpriced. Having read a number of other negative reviews about the restaurant, that were posted recently, we are no longer confident enough to return. Jan (please forgive me if your name is Jen - I just got older!) was wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure that I can receive my birthday ice-cream - as you had run out - I am not fussed about the ice-cream but seriously appreciated her concern and follow up. The young man that looked after our table ( I forget his name - did I say I just got older?) was brand new and quite nervous - especially as I think he overheard my husband ( a rough diamond) complaining to me, that our order hadn't been taken ( my husband was at fault then - not the young man - most of the table were not yet decided) It would have been daunting for him to approach our table and he did so with care, consideration, and double checked the order to ensure everything went...
