Thought I would try this place again due to being gifted a voucher, what a mistake!! We arrived and sat at our table we were served in a timely matter,we were told that door would be a 35 minute wait,we ordered our drinks and they arrived quickly we then proceeded to order our breakfast, after 50 minutes of waiting our food finally arrived, 2 servings of pancakes and a local brekky, the pancakes were extremely average and were very doughy in the centre, the locals brekky was terrible, the bacon was as hard as the concrete floor the poached eggs were not cooked as they were still raw and extremely watery, the bread had obviously been toasted and retoasted and to cut through all that I was given a butter knife and the butter for the pancakes was just melted yellow water,I voiced my complaint up at the counter to a teenager with a personality of a wet rag and then directed to the owner who continually argued her point and went on to talk about all her regulars that come all the time,we I payed the $70 yes $70 for 3 pancakes on each plate some concrete bacon and uncooked eggs and 3 drinks,we were offered another voucher but declined as I would rather lose $70 than ever walk through those doors again,I hope for the sake of your business and anyone who chooses to dine here that everything needs to be addressed including the chef the staff members and the owners attitudes towards there lively hoods. If your reading this review please choose another option as there is plenty around town or just simply buy the ingredients and stay at home, because you will wish you’d had after dining here.

Rule of thumb is DO NOT ARGUE CUSTOMERS OR DEFEND EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG,as that will bring you and your...

I've been enjoying breakfast here, and the odd coffee catch up with friends. Think I've maybe eaten lunch here there times.

New owners / managers recently have given the place some TLC so if you haven't been for a while, give it another try.

Value for money IMO compared to the local franchised outlet up on the main road. View here is better, food quality better and table service too.

Doesn't have WiFi, so you'll need your own access.

Coffee is good.

The 'locals breakfast' on the menu (traditional bacon and eggs, toast, tomato and hash browns) is a good size portion and priced well.

Usually a lot of people having coffee here of a morning, it's location with water and beach glimpses is better than other local options. Such a shame they don't use the upstairs deck area!

Service is prompt and friendly most of the time. Have been snubbed and treated a bit off by some of the staff at times, but generally good. It's been once or twice of bad service, so thought they might be having a bad day (as we all do from time to time)

I'd recommend checking this place out.

PS: While you're here do yourself a favour and check out the 'historical site' off the end of the timber platform out the front of the cafe....

We recently had Pandanus Cafe cater our wedding reception, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! The staff was amazing—attentive, friendly, and truly dedicated to making our day special. One standout team member was Tai, who was not only professional but also incredibly down-to-earth, making everyone feel comfortable and nothing was too much to ask. The food was absolutely excellent! We received countless compliments from our guests about the taste, variety, and generous portions. It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into the menu. Beyond the delicious food, the staff really enhanced the atmosphere of our celebration, helping to create a memorable experience for everyone involved. We wholeheartedly recommend Pandanus Cafe for any event and are grateful for their outstanding service on our special...

😡😡😡😡😡😡Good location on the top of the dune with sea view . But the owners are really really not kind and friendly and we can see it on the staff face . We're literally on the beach and we are not allowed to come in bare feet as if it was 5 star hotel . The green tea was not good ( twinning) , the flat white was not made nicely as half of cup was with milk foam , the food was ok but not very good quality ( melon specially ) we had ant in the food and then they pretend to give lesson? Another person came but they didn't allow her to sit at the table in the shade . My son after ordering so many dishes and drinks was not allowed to have a bite in his cookie that they are not selling. Will be back to Cabarita but never at this place !!!!!!!!!!😤😤😤

Great location right on the beach below Cabarita Surf Club. Had the garlic prawns for dinner last night served upstairs at the club, then breakfast downstairs the next day. Garlic Prawns for dinner and Fritters weren't bad but I would give the Indonesian brekky a miss, especially if you've had it in Indo. Coffee wasn't bad, good flavour from Seven Miles. Wait staff are prompt and friendly. Water was on the table just after we sat down and drinks served soon after. However food took over 30 mins and it wasn't that busy. Definitely best view though.

We've had many breakfasts here over the years and always enjoyed it. It's the only cafe we know of in Caba where you can sit and eat and almost see the waves. This time, we had a bit of work to do, so thought it would be a good option for some cafe coworking. Alas, we couldn't get a data connection strong enough to do any work, and they don't have wifi for patrons, so we had our drinks but didn't stay for lunch.
