Hot Wok Thai — Restaurant in Bogangar

Ordered a take away and when received the satay chicken was raw in parts. Called the restaurant and they straight away told me that the chicken is thigh and can be pink. I explained it wasn’t pink it was raw (cold too). I said the rest of the order is fine I just want a refund for the inedible chicken satay (2 servings at $26!). They said they were sending a driver to collect the chicken to check it. When they did come and collect it they again refused to acknowledge our complaint or offer a refund. I then called the restaurant (3rd time) and the manager again said it wasn’t raw and wouldn’t give a refund. Why would we order some food just to complain about it when actually we wanted to eat it. We were willing to pay for it all. Her attitude was shocking and she put the phone down on me. I called back and she refused to come back on the phone. I said regardless of whether she thinks the chicken is raw or not, I am the customer and I haven’t eaten it and should be entitled to a refund, not an argument!!!!! I have never had a bad experience with a restaurant before and don’t expect too much from a small takeaway Thai, but I was completely shocked by the poor customer service and rude staff.

We ordered take away with delivery. The restaurant called to tell me they didn’t have items on my order, I asked for a refund of the item they couldn’t provide, which I was told no and was offered spring rolls. Due to allergies I can’t have spring rolls and just asked to be refunded for the item I had ordered. I was told no again. I asked to speak with the manager and the manager agreed to refund the item. My order never arrived, and then I received a call saying they were cancelling my order completely and I would have to ask menu log for a refund as they wouldn’t be providing a refund for the order.

I’m now having to email menu log to try and get my money back. Hot Wok called me after everything else in town was closed, so now we have no dinner either. Very shocked and disappointed.

We will never order from here again. Go to the Thai next door, it is a much nicer experience and better...

Came down from Brisbane to enjoy a succulent Thai meal. We ordered three items: red curry, pad see ew ans sticky rice. After waiting 15minutes we asked at the counter do we order here where the waitress responded no at the table. She arrived at our table minutes later even though she was doing nothing. Our food came 40 minutes later when only 3 tables were filled.

The other customers also complained about the wait time. In the end, our sticky rice never arrived but they tried arguing for us to pay for it.

Overall horrible experience and we will never visit again.

The food tasted like it came out of the packaging and was obviously microwaved. Waiting that long for 4 pieces of chicken in the curry and another 6 in the pad see ew is a disgrace.
