Alessio's Pizza — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Edit to respond- I collected my order exactly when advised to collect it! I expect hot tasty food that doesn’t lack ingredients. Reading comprehension is important which whoever responded is lacking. You get better pizza and service at dominoes and that should be shameful for a supposedly authentic pizza business. Never in my life have a received a pizza with more sauce than cheese and a soggy base until I visited your cold establishment. It was completely empty the least your staff could do is acknowledge my presence with a smile seeing as I’m giving your business money! No surprise on your reply seeing how rude your staff are. Perhaps advise the correct pick up time so paying customers can have at the minimum hot food.

Extremely disappointing food & service. Save your money and go to dominoes! Ordered a margarita & it is nothing as advertised. Small blobs of already hardened cheese, barely visible or taste of basil pesto. Seems they’re skimping on ingredients to save money as I can’t see another reason they’d give me a ration of cheese. There’s more sauce than anything else! Picked up at the correct time and my food was already nearly cold.

Upon entering I had 3 people look at me and completely ignore me. I felt I was intruding walking in to collect my already paid for order. Horrible first impression & completely confused how this establishment has a high rating. Terrible hospitality, I’m not surprised it was completely empty. Pizza is not at all as advertised. Avoid!

Why scrimp on cheese of all things on a cheese pizza?! wish I could have a complete refund as it’s a total waste of money. Such a shame for a highly rated business.

If I didn’t get such lousy service I wouldn’t bother leaving a review but I’d like to save others the disappointment. Nothing worse than a bad pizza, oh wait.....

I forget what it’s like to live in a big city sometimes, even though I spent most of my life in one.

More people means more venues and more competition. And more competition means venues compete on quality and value for money.

And in please to say that on this occasion, Alessio excelled in every single way!

My Alessio Special pizza on a pumpkin sauce base with Leg Ham, Zucchini, Roasted Capsicu, Chorizo & Mozzarella, was hands down one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten!.

The sourdough base was that nice combination of soft but firm and crunchy at the same time, and the addition of fresh sliced chilli really complemented and lifted the whole dish and elevated it to another level!

I don’t often eat a whole pizza in a single sitting, but I had not trouble doing so on this occasion !

Toppings were generous without being over the top and leant towards the more traditional style of quality over quantity. And the flavour combination worked brilliantly!

Too bad I was so full after that I couldn’t eat the calzone - that’s ok I’ll save it for tomorrow!

The kid enjoyed her margarita pizza as well and she’s a fierce pizza critic - so if she says it’s good it must be great!

Pro tip: they get the pizzas out pretty quickly so arrive in good time to get it...

Very disappointed, will never go back. No customer service and quality of food for price very poor. I put an order in online for pick up at 5.45pm. When I got there I had to wait for 5 mins before anyone acknowledged me, was told it was just going in the oven. People came in behind me to eat in, they placed their order, were seated and eating whilst I was still standing there, no one even bothered to speak to me or tell me what was going on, saw other pizza's pulled out of the oven and put up on top for the same pick up time, then watched a heap of other orders come and be picked up whilst I was still standing there, at approximately 6.05pm, 20 mins past pick up time, they called my name and proceeded to get a box from on top of the oven and hand it to me? They offered no apology, or thanks for waiting even though it was the same man that had seen me when I came in. I got home, 2 mins away and the Arancini balls, although they were nice, they were cold, the pizza also cold, bit like eating cardboard, couldn't even see the cheese. Such a shame.
