Asian Republic — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Ordered ‘Mongolian Stirfry with Vegetables’ added Beef as I don’t do vegetarian, at Asian Republic, Hendra. Although I was Shocked at the 15% public holiday surcharge, I’d noticed I’d been charged $2 for extra veggies, however, the $2 was refunded. After I Waited approx 15 mins (this time was appropriate for public holiday), sadly after getting back home I found that it was missing the beef. Not happy! Shame as it smelled so yummy. It took 11 phone calls before they answered. Once I explained the issue, the girl was so lovely and apologised and even though I understand mistakes can be made I wanted a resolution as I was unable to get back down there and I’m starving. After consulting the owner/manager/chef I was informed They don’t do refunds over the phone but they would give me a store credit for use at another time. As I live interstate and return there in several days a credit is pointless and not an option. I’ve arranged for my sister to take my daughter back to the store, return the food and receive the refund. This still doesn’t resolve the issue that they don’t care enough about their customers and are willing to let them go hungry! Great customer service NOT!

Amazing. Holy guacamole! My girlfriend and I ordered the Dinner for 2 option, and were blown away!

The staff were amazing, my girlfriend can't eat cashews which was one of the main dishes, so the lovely lady that took our order had no hesitation to suggest the switch to the crispy pork with Asian greens, and it was to die for.

The massaman curry was soooo good and there was soo much meat that just fell apart. We upgraded to the coconut rice and it paired really well with the curry.

We almost had a crisis because we couldn't breath as we were stuffing our face with everything. Basically just inhaling our food! Lmao.

$16 for noodles and it doesn't even come with meat that costs extra, said soup is cherry tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, and nothing else.

Similarly priced is special fried rice, which is closer to just rice with beans and onions and nothing else, again meat costs extra.

The extra meat scores you 2-3 inch pieces of overcooked gamey stir fry for only $2-3 extra.

Prawn chips are not complimentary like other places, overlooking the $4 cost I got them and they were stale and came in a ziplock bag.

Came in too close to closing I guess and they decided to nuke it with spices, I don't mind spicy but this was just pointless and added nothing to the flavour.
