Barrow & Bear Travel + Cruise - Wavell Heights — Restaurant in Brisbane City

This is my third international trip with Barrow and Bear and the first one since covid. The process from start to finish was totally seamless. I felt like I had my own personal agent focussed solely on me alone, with the way the communication was so fast and clear. We were able to chat back and forth via email really easily, sharing links to various points of interest and tours to consider for my booking. Shylah was so great about offering me options to flights, accom and tours, and being able to quickly find alternates if there was anything I needed to change my mind on. She has experience with my locations and was able to offer me some on the ground options and activities that I might not have found on my own. I even sent one of our friends her way, who decided to join us for the majority of our trip, and she managed to get him into our hotels and return flights, at request, so we can spend time together like we had all hoped.

Really really happy with everything - prices, experience and most especially the relaxed way I could just email her with "... oh hey, one more thing - I think I want to add this, or change this." and she was always on top of it dame day. She even gave us a heads up on where we could buy tickets ourselves to get a better time slot or price, which was so refreshing that we ended up saving money for a whole other tour!

Just thrilled. Payment process was easy and seamless. I kept a record of everything - and was thrilled to see it all matches perfectly to what I had budgeted for.

Cannot reccommend highly enough as a boutique and hands on travel experience. I will only book with B&B going...

Barrow & Bear helped us plan our first holiday in almost two years (thanks COVID). We embarked on trip to Tasmania in May. It was incredible.

I had been hesitant to work with another travel agent since our last experience (we won't go there), but I think it's safe to say that Callum and his team are stuck with me now.

We had a pretty specific idea of where we wanted to go, and they made it happen almost instantaneously. It was easy. They worked around a specific self-book-only location we've had our eye on for many years, planning the rest of our trip to enable it.

Before we skipped off across the Strait, Callum personally walked me through our itinerary. Everything we could possibly have needed was there. All we had to do was walk onto the plane.

Usually I love the coffee at Barrow and Bear but unfortunately today a staff member returned to them who makes not very good coffees at all. I think she needs to do a Barista course to teach her about how to get a great crema on top of the coffee. She hardly gets any at all, and then to top it all off, she overfills the cup with too much milk. So you end up with a very weak coffee and way too much milk which drowns out the coffee taste (fills it to the very top of the takeaway cup and you have to pour some off to make sure it doesn't spill through the lid). I usually walk away and go to the coffee shop in Edinburgh Castle Road if I see she's the barista for the day. As I said I'm sure a course as a Barista would do wonders to her coffee...
